D'Addario EXL 165 VS Rotosound Nexus Bass NXB
This audio track has been recorded using a 1986 Fender Jazz Bass special made in japan. The bass is original in all its parts.
Both pickups are turned on.
I have used m-track audio and software logic to record it.
Through Logic I have used a simulator of Ampeg Portaflex B15.
I have noticed that Nexus strings have a bit less volume and they are more rough than D'addario strings.
The tension of Nexus is a bit stronger than D'addario. It was necessary tighten 1/6 the truss rod, even if the neck was hard and matured. Probably in the last basses will be necessairly to tighten them more.
The Nexus strings are good, but they are not cheap.

I don't know of a Ford V4 1300I have a Ford Taunus 17M Super 2 door V4 1,7lt, and a Ford 17M RS Coupe' with a V4 2,0lt ( Essex Engine )Capri's came out in the following variations:Capri 1600 - 1,6lt OHV ( Kent Engine )Capri 1600 GT - 1,6lt OHV (Kent Engine ) Tuned with a Twin Choke Weber Carburettor.Capri 2000 XL - V4 2,0lt OHV ( Essex Engine ) Twin Choke Weber Carburettor. 78KW. Capri 2000 GT - V4 2,0lt OHV ( Essex Engine ) Tuned with other Cam and Webber Carb. Capri 3000 XL - V6 3,0lt OHV ( Essex Engine ) I can't remember if they came in the GT model, I have the Capri 3,0lt XL Auto version. Then I saw the Capri Perana which had the V8 302 Windsor engine. Never heard of a 1300 V4 . Ford also had the Ford 20m 2500 S - 2,5lt V6 Coloene Engine ( 1969 to 1972 ). My dad worked for Ford from 1962 till 2006, and he collected classic cars, that's why I have them now. I have a few other Ford cars as well. To nowadays standards the V4's never put out big power. The 2,5 lt V6 didn't have the power of a 3,0lt but drank the same amount of fuel.
My first car was a 1972 Ford Capri 1500 XL Mk. I, 65 HP, maximum speed 145 km/h, HC engine. This version is missing in you compilation.
Classic capri only was 1500cc

Ford Germany fitted MK1 Capris with its own Cologne V4 from Taunus range, of 1.3, 1.5 and 1.7 liter, and 2.0 or 2.3 Cologne V6. Ford Uk fitted its Capris with inline four 1.3 and 1.6 Kent engine or 2.0 V4 and 3.0 V6 Essex engne.
Hi Michele nice engine by the way ı have 1.6 pinto cortina and its avarage 88 hp .when comparing this v6 2.0 what do you think because ı am thinking swapping it ..so ı guess 2.0 v6 is around 90 hp which is low
Hi Emil, would you be more precise about it ? :) The engine Cologne 2.0 V6 has 90 hp with its original carburetor and exhaust.
Yes😀 so my performance people mention to find 2.0 pinto 105 hp and easy to play with or of course granada 2.3 v6 which is 125 hp dont you think with 45 weber

Yes, there are many here in italy, but I changed it with a 2.0lt.
Ford Taunus V4 engine was available in 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 1.7, 1.8 & 1.9 litre (Wikipedia).
As far as I remeber it was the smallest engine and had 55 hp. I had the 1500 XL version with 65 hp. That was my first car ever.
I owned a 1300 Capri in ‘70 in UK. It was an ‘in line’ NOT a V block. Ford UK Didn’t sell the Capri with a 1300 V engine. They DID market the Capri with a 1700 V engine.
@@arnolddill If i can remeber.. here in Finland you could have Capri with 1,3 or 1,6 Kent engine, 2,0 V4 engine (Essex? ), and top of the line was 3000GTXLR model, rare as chicken tooth...

You should put a Turbo May kit on it, would really make it go wayyyy faster.
