I moved to Mexico with Daphne and Lila four years ago. It’s been a challenging journey filled with great people, amazing food and two or three more dogs. I hope that sharing my journey is uplifting ❤️
All of my videos are filmed by me, other than some stock footage from Storyblocks in some videos in order to enhance the storytelling. The only AI used is to create Spanish & English captions. I just started editing with Cap Cut and most of the music is from Artlist. These videos are HUMAN MADE not AI 🤖

Hola amigos! I'm back in Mexico City for a few days and today we're visiting Centro Historico. We'll see the Palacio de Belles Aries, the Palacio Postal and the National Museum of art. Along with that we take a fun ride and get a foot massage in Chinatown! All around a fun summer day in CDMX.

Hola amigos, I hope you're all doing well. I went to Chicago to visit my family and we went to one of our favorite places, the Art Institute. We saw a Georgia O'Keffe show and some of the greatest masterpieces of Impressionism. You really need a few days to explore this incredible museum. Afterwards we got some great food. Enjoy the video!

hola amigos, recently I visited Mexico City and it's a wonderful place to be a tourist. In this video we'll go to the largest park in the city, and visit the Botanical Gardens within it. Of course the day wouldn't be complete without some good food at a local cafe. Thanks for watching and I'll see you in the next video! I grew up in Chicago and visited The Art Institute regularly. It was only later in life I realized how lucky we were to have this fabulous resource in our midst. Some people speak disparagingly of city life, but what it can afford you is access to culture and appreciation of the arts which you're not going to get just anywhere. Oh, and the restaurants in Chicago are terrific as well.

@@organic-artistic Joia, thanks again! I am from the Niagara region in Ontario. I have my permanent resident card. I will rent initially, but ideally I would like to find a great deal on a rundown multi-unit building, (4-6+ units) and then renovate it. San Miguel and Queretaro are on my list. Just starting to look for towns and cities to check out. Currently, I am thinking I will come to Mexico for 2-3 months around the beginning of December. Have you been to Cuernavaca or San Cristoabal ? Have a great week! David

Recently I was speaking on this topic with a highly educated friend from Buffalo and he said they "hate us" referencing people from the middle east. I said to him, did you ever ask yourself, why? He didn't have an answer. I asked him how do you think they feel when the US military routinely kills innocent civilians - families, women, & children and writes it off as just "collateral damage"? Joia, I hope you are doing well!

Many people don’t want to think about how the US government is a corrupt organization that has been murdering innocent people for my entire lifetime. In the name of “freedom” and “democracy”. Hi Joia, I hope you are doing well! I am searching for a town/city that has a moderate cool climate and or a beach town where the cost of living and real estate are still affordable. Other than the obvious expat destinations, do you have any suggestions?
Hi! Thanks for your comment and tough question, I honestly haven’t traveled as much as I’d like. The beaches are usually pretty hot and humid, I couldn’t deal with it. But if you can, Progresso and the other Gulf Coast beaches are probably still mellow and affordable. Inland I hear San Luis Potosí is a nice place to live. I’m in Guanajuato state, and I like the weather - we have seasons. If you’re going to a non-expat city you’ll need to speak Spanish. Expat places can be good for the community support - it can be difficult to adjust here. Lastly the channel Mexico Relocation Guide (I think that’s the name) is really informative. 🥰
In the north of the city you can come to parque bicentenario. It's fantastic
