PEDAL EAST a Bikepacking Adventure to Istanbul (Teaser)
This August, we set off on our bikepacking adventure to Istanbul. Over the course of 14 days, we cycled from the Carpathian Mountains in Romania all the way down to the metropolis on the Bosphorus River. During this journey, we faced several challenges, including dog attacks, rough roads, and steep ascents.

Looks like you were about two months too early in the season. The highlands dont start to become accessible until early july and some parts of it late july. Closed off to all traffic due to spring thaw. Rivers rise and snow fields still dominate the landscape and the soil is so very soft that it should be left alone until it has dried out. Hope you will make a return visit for the highlands. Visit Fjallabak, Landmannalaugar, Askja, Kerlingafjöll and a plethora of other places to enjoy.

Nice tradation cycle touring video what tent did you use i am planing to do it on a bikepacking setup
We used the helsport lofoten 3 person tent. But if you want to cycle in Iceland I would recommend to but a good geodesic tent. One of our tent poles broke at the end of the trip caused of the strong winds.
