I am sure this has been commented on but PIN THE WHEELS on the mower deck SIDEWAYS at a 90 degree angle to the tractor and the deck will slide out easily

It is standard equipment on the tractor.
I come here installing a 3 point hitch for the first time of a 25s after taking backhoe off. Bought from brim. What a terrible video. Helped zero

So this is basically the same thing as my new LS, which I bought last month. It’s a GREAT tractor and the only thing wrong with it is that I should have gotten it years ago.
I’m almost 70 and I can’t do what I used to so I bought a tractor. This is the first video I found that was helpful.

I'm not sure what you mean by "paid attention". JD does use the Yanmar motor. The Yanmar motor is widely used by most equipment manufacturers.

There isn't much to hear. It is an electric motor and it is pretty quiet.
It's awesome to see how far a local brand like mchale has spread over the years!

@@brim I certainly could but won’t, out of respect. I have worked on many and with the cables, the air cooling, the clutch issues. Gotta say that they are easier to deal with at a lower price point than what these are going for

I've been looking at tractors for about 3 years. I don't need anything massive. i just want to be able to have a loader/blower/forks/backhoe/thumb that can do basic work. Mostly want it to move firewood/log lengths around. It's just hard to justify 25k or so since this would be a nice to have machine.
If you don't need the backhoe you can get the tractor for around $16k. Another thing to keep in mind, a tractor is an investment and if you keep it in good shape it will retain most of the value. It isn't like a car that loses 50% of its value as soon as you drive it off the lot.
@@brimI'd kick myself if i didn't get a backhoe. My father in law borrowed one from work a couple weekends ago so we could take care of some drainage problems. I honestly should have bought one 9 years ago. would have paid for it 10 fold with what i've done....mostly by hand. I built a 18x30 carport off the side of my shop so i could park it under that most of the time.
If it didn’t cost so much, I would get that. I have an L3 and with the top and the windshield it’s already almost 10 grand.

Excellent review.... my 25S has a little more than 600 hours,,,,,,,service takes 6 weeks....
Trust me on this, that tractor has serious issues, and NewHolland Customer service sucks.
What do you do with them after they're pulled out? Burn?
I was on the fence between this and the JD 1025R. I was tipping in favor of green due to the drive over mower deck but that segment showing the easy removal might have tipped it back to the 25S which was the very first subcompact I ever noticed and have wanted ever since. There’s a dealer nearby I like and it’s about 3k less than the JD. Just subbed your channel too. Thank you!

It’s mad how much agricultural machinery is made in the west of Ireland. Huge industry here, major, malone, Mchale, slurryquip and definitely a few others I have missed.
