I prefer to change oil at half the recommended hours that the factory suggests. Feeling the oil at 250 hour I can sense that its time. It also makes me feel better that I do it so often.

Thank you! I couldn't figure out the battery retention clamp, there's so much crap in the way I couldn't see it.
You're welcome. Glad the video helped. Aloha
Sometimes you have to think outside the box when doing those sort of jobs . Makes the day a challenge .
Also interesting.
@@gillpecceuservices I do swing lift as well and normally walk around the site to look at objects and before committing to the job, because I don’t want to get stuck
@@johngoldthorpe1226 Absolutely. The Owner of the freight company also came out to do a site inspection prior to delivery. We also had heavy equipment on hand just in case as well.
The 🦀walk on that trailer is wild 👀
That is cool. I do not think it could do it the other way. Thankfully it went well. We tried to open that corner up as much as we could. Still tight.
@@gillpecceuservices yeah when I saw him drive in (and i've never driven a truck like that) I said no way man, you're STUCK. lol
@@ronaldharmon9891 These drivers have to get crafty around here because they get these things in some interesting places...
What battery size are those?
Optima part number: DH7 880CCA
Do you have a video for the heater bypass to aux cooler? Really would like to see how you did that
Unfortunately I do not have a video showing that. It is a pretty straight forward procedure. I can make a video one day of how I did it.
Thanks Gil, I have same machine running a torrent 28” mulcher. I have to turn heat on and point vent out window to run at 80% heat. So I think your idea would be great. I’m on Maui
@@torstenerickson3488 Ya the cooling packs on these machines are a bit undersized. If you need to reach out some more feel free to email me. gill4321@yahoo.com .
I may have missed a previous video, did you build all the welding cross hatch marks on your bucket?
No you did not miss a video. I welded the cross hatch when I rebuilt the bucket over 2 years ago before I started my RUclips thing.
Hi Gill, nice video as always. The most interesting parts show you working, fast-forwarding, or working normally;. the least interesting parts is your monolog, watch Let's Dig 18 for inspiration. where the camera is over his shoulder or from a distance showing the machine work. Like to be there to help but I'd probably be a no-show and windup on the nearest beach ha
I appreciate the feedback. Thank you for watching. Aloha.
So what did it increase and did it help egts?
It very noticeably increased throttle response. Also I noticed I needed less throttle input for certain familiar situations which leads to improved fuel milage. This upgrade alone I noticed at least 2+ MPG improvement. As for EGT's I have no gauge but I am certain that it improves them as well.
🐖let's make🥓🤣
"Shop Inspector" give approval👍
Don’t forget to change your final drives I change mine every two hundred fifty hours
I do exactly that later in the video. 😉
Considering how hot it is in Kona, the salt, humidity and the shear cost of something going wrong cause you didn't ... yeah going half of the recommended interval sounds about right for the islands.
Good day 🇺🇸
I've seen shoots six inches tall exactly one single day after cutting Guinea grass to the ground. The stuff grows fast. If you let the cattle eat it to the nub, then let them stomp all over it, it will die. But ranchers don't like to do this, because it's considered a finishing grass for their cows. It's terrible to weed whack by hand if it's too tall. You get strands slicing at your neck. Awful stuff. Brush hogging it is the way to go.
Also thats why we have sheep. They get rid of it really well.
Well THAT was different and I liked it. You teased me, I had to wait til the end, I was thinking you and Capt. Dad were setting foundation for a stilt house. What will you keep in the container (unless it's your stash of gold)?
Container is for a neighbor that is moving from the mainland to Hawaii. After it is unloaded we will buy it from them. It provides easy unloading for them. They have no convenient place to have it to unload. Win Win I think.
Slow work but you got it. 🇺🇸
I wish we could have had a cement truck come in, but then there wouldn't have been a video...😉
That overfat black bottom border including the rear bumper looks disgusting on a Base vehicle such as this. The original late 60"s early 1970's HIP or high impact paint colour penniless Option bumble bee tail stripe is the only stripe that fits this thing, Otherwise there basically Walmart dollar store stripes. Period
Again I still can't believe the stupidly beeper happy so-called engineers Still simply haven't changed the super Dumb highly annoying back up beeper with the Automotive type Sonar sensor & them call the back up beeper a Smart beeper meaning only stupidly sounds off when it's needed meaning within sensor range of something solid, production car's & other on road production vehicles have all sorts of Stupid so-called driver aids as you know, rear park assist blindspot, cross traffic , even a super unsafe according to my brother in a Late model Audi is the again dumb distance cruise control which monitors forward traffic & adjusts throttle & speed but super unsafe & I would never use / Arm it . But back to these super dumb ancient backup beepers, someone finally has to see the light & simply get rid of the current beeper & equip all heavy machinery with the Smart sonar sensor beeper. Very easily done but the world as it is is super uncaring by default So the annoying beeper blaring will carry on until people simply loose it & go nut's because I definitely don't need or want to hear sometimes 24 hours a day especially in the winter road clearing nutville beeping for absolutely no constructive reason at all because there's no human traffic around to simply get squashed by a nut in a whatever who is too stupid to look back because of the beeper sounding off. Even worse are the 4 direction machine like a again lazy man lift or zoom boom they blare off a beeper in all directions & there crawling creep speed but blaring away for again absolutely nothing other than making sound pollution, City of Toronto Canada has finally made a bylaw offense for Beeping your stupid car horn to simply lock/unlock a vehicle , you'll get a ticket for being so lazy when vehicles can manually have there doors locked unlocked without blowing the dumb car horn and rightly so, All vehicles have manuals that tell you how to disarm the dumb Lock horn blaring but some people are so ignorant they can't lock a vehicle the old fashioned way without the horn blaring for again absolutely nothing & the funny thing is that vehicle still gets stolen by the thief.
"Wifey Boss" 🤗
Have a good day 🇺🇸
Where did you get the EGR delete plate on top of the intake?
I forget, but I believe www.spelabautoparts.com/ has them.
I need help, at 3:16 the bolt to the right of the sensor on the intake plate, you added the spacer and what bolt? I'm losing my mind thinking Im missing a bolt, the stock palte shows no sign of a bolt even being there. did I loose one or was it never there??
Thank You!
I just did mine, 2020 3500. It sounds like a tone of air is coming in, pretty loud for my taste. Is it normal? I thought it was a leak.
It does have a different sound. I also have the BANKS "ram air" Air filter that made a big change in the intake noise. Air noise is ok but a Boost leak is not. Im sure you are fine if there is not check engine light. Also there is a noticeable improvement in throttle pedal response.
Just did mine and I hear a ton of air coming in and I also thought it was a boost leak. I'm also making 24 psi of boost at wide open throttle. No check engine lights or codes
What brand tires and size you have ?
Brand is BF Goodrich. 265/70R17 in the front and 245/75r17 rear.
Beautiful place to work
Yes it is.
Nice job
Thank you.
What nut did you loosen
Maybe I missed it, but how much did the batteries cost?
Close to $800 dollars all said and done.
@@gillpecceuservicesyikes…I’m getting mine from Costco. $200CAD each. They’re H7 not 94R but same size just slightly less CCA
I have a 2005 d5g still have original battery’s turn off master switch when not using.nice work
Thanks. Maybe a bad manufacturing on the Batteries. 2 CAT batteries had the same exact failure in less than 2 years. Optima so far has outlasted them both...
I have the same problem! I tell my guys not to back it into places (thinking that was the reason), but that's how they prefer using it, since there is a loader bucket on the front.
I"m super careful backing into places. It's not from that. It happens when the wheel sets back down a little hard and the caster is sideways.
What size tires are you running?
265/70R17 in the front and 245/75r17 rear.
Was that some A`ali`i plants in front of the Ohia trees?
Could very well be.

Greetings from Oregon. Could you please tell me about your mulcher? Brand, age, model, what teeth you’re using………. Any other info you’d like to share? Thanks !!!
It's a Fecon brand. Model is the FMX36. I am using only Carbide teeth. I got this mulcher in 2019 and its been a work horse ever since. I have about 1000 hours on the mulcher head. I installed the Carbide teeth about 30 hours after It was new. All the carbide teeth are original except the 4 outer teeth. I have a few videos on the mulcher itself. ruclips.net/video/MlEJzPJJD-0/видео.html . ruclips.net/video/it-E9uoQjpQ/видео.html . Please let me know if you have any other questions. Aloha.
Thank you for the detailed video and use of Fluid Film!
Anytime.
What areas or parts do you spray with Fluid Film on your WoodMaxx?
Every moving part that I can find except the Belts. Also I like to clean my Woodmaxx thoroughly and after that I like to spray the knifes and flywheel also to prevent rust and have it ready to rock as soon as I need it again. I just recently made another video showing this. ruclips.net/video/9HUKro30Y5I/видео.html
Cat ctls are the shittiest ctls
I love mine.....
Can you even imagine clearing this by hand? Those are some nasty invasive species. Glad to see it getting the treatment from some heavy iron!
The owner tried with minimal effect. Love seeing their reaction after the project is done.
All that and tou could have welded a nut on there and used your impact. Fun fact make it the same nut size as your lugnuts so you can always change a tire.
That could work. I have tried it but its just way to hard on the drill. Impacts would eventually chew up the gears in the Jack. Is this trailer gear box needed?...no, But it is certainly nice to have and is easy on the drills.
Out of curiosity mate, how long did that take roughly?
Due to the rough terrain and constant repositioning that was not on video and also the thickness of the brush it took about 3 hours.
@gillpecceuservices I thought it must have been 3/4 hours. I have a 306 coming with a Fecon head in a few months. Just trying to gauge what it can get done. Keep up the good work! 👍
@@Th3-Moz It all depends on the variables. Let me know if you have any further questions on the Fecon Head or anything else. Aloha.
@gillpecceuservices Thankyou! I shall definitely do that.

I fabricated that myself.

Nice work
Thank you.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your sheep. Besides shoring up the fence line, what other security measures are you looking at to protect your sheep? How many sheep were killed/injured?
Shoring up the fence line is about the best we can do and has worked well until these dogs showed up. We lost 7 sheep out of 11. We will double up on some areas of the fence. There was a rock fall off on one area where I was working in the video and there is a hole. What I noticed worked well is to put another layer off fencing outside and half way up the existing fence with the rest of the fence extending outward and away horizontally on the ground to prevent going under. This only works realistically in areas that are uneven and rocky. Aloha.
Wow, I didn't know you had Sheep, I wondered from time to time why you didn't have them to help keep the property clear as well as for a farm product. I take it you don't have any Guardian Dogs to help protect your Sheep.
The sheep are on another property that doesn't have a house on it. Just a coffee property. No guard dogs for the sheep unfortunately. The farm is fenced all around as best as we can but the wild dogs I guess still got through. Sheep are amazing at keeping grass down. Cuts mowing down by 80%.
