I downloaded the video onto a hard drive and removed it from YT. I should of just marked it private but I don't know where I put it but if I do find it, I'll post it.

Here it's fully automated with trash and recycling. Only yard waste is manual.

At the time it was the oldest unit on the fleet before being retired.

Depends on who's working. Some crews like this one for P-10 and P-11 don't mind being filmed though if there was something they didn't want me to hear then I just move on to the next unit that is near by. I've gotten yelled at, chased away and cussed out.

I'm still alive haven't been recording due to my work schedule.

It might be covering a missed route or it's original truck might have broken down. I believe this truck is assigned to parks and had to head to the dump a few times since it got full quickly.

He went to a different department but still works for DPW. I have a video I just have to find it on my hard drive.

For an unknown reason, he's doing one side since he is the only worker. Most will do both sides to save time and fuel.

There is recycling in my state, though most don't know how to recycle....

The preview image shows P-11 with a cart tipper however this video was recorded two years before getting it.

Certain kinds like furniture paint lead chipping flaking paint goes in to the landfill yard waste gets recycled and reused in a lot of landfills .or for residents and to be reused in cities and towns the state we live in .

Though I tried that method (using plain wood) most wood ether have some kind of chemical or varnish that wouldn't go well with mulch which is why it's collected with the trash.

@@myworldsanitation9372 agree 100% wood furniture and other paint based varnish stain or other goes in to the land fill even regular wood goes in to the land fill they have a wood chipper machine and they use the wood chips to spread over the trash .the drivers and everybody hates it when we would get a nail in are tire on the truck while we are out working it takes a long while for the tire to be replaced and we would have to suspend collection and finish the next day while they check the rest of are tires. better then being stopped for D.O.T . spot inspection they check the tires if the tires are bad it is a hefty hefty fine . regular wood would be collected with tree branches and limbs and small branches old fire wood small logs in to a rear loader truck . and be recycled in to mulch to be reused .

Sadly no. It was in service up until 2018 as Packer 26 before being traded for a newer Loadmaster.

One is nicknamed "Smurf". You'll hear him introduce himself on the video a few times. The other don't know yet.

I believe this is a early 80's White/Volvo on a Loadmaster LM-120 body. Before being permanently assigned to newspaper collection duty P-7 was assigned to trash. While I was a kid P-7 before getting repainted had the initials "JT" on the packer blade. P-7 also for a short time handled bulky waste. I was around 3 years old when this truck was brand new.

No, they put a notice on the lid to remove the offending item (s) otherwise it doesn't get collected. However most residents don't bother to remove the item or notice and continue to put it to the curb. The city does have a law enforced and repeat offenders will get fined between $80 to $500.

I think it was a small pup MSL on a International DuraStar body. I walked by but didn't have a camera.

Though P-11 & P-10 (at the time) was the norm on my old channel (tracksidegorilla) a lot would comment on some of my non sanitation videos when I didn't post sanitation "Can you film P-10 and 'Scooter and Shady' (P-11) please?" (Yes, that was an actual comment left on my old videos). I do have the video of P-3 (Loadmaster) collecting trash and a video of P-3 with a chute eating leaves (I have a video of crews tossing some lawn and leaf bags and brush into the chute which I'll have here soon). I'll have to go and find the DVD and convert it to digital format which will take some time. On this video P-4 is covering for P-11 and P-5 on the previous video was covering the next week. P-4 usually handles Yard Waste (Greens) and P-5 handles recycling and would have a 2x4 on the hopper to keep the bottles and cans from falling out. If any garbage units (P-6, P-8, P-10 or P-11) is down P-4 or P-5 covers for those units. P-3 can also handle trash but P-7 can not for some unknown reason. Today even with the automated trucks if they're down for repairs or maintenance a rear loader (P-2, P-6, P-8, P-9, P-10, P-11 or the spare P-12) will cover.

Back when I was a kid the city's sanitation fleet was all Loadmaster LM-120 except for P-4 & P-5 which were Leach Alpha. The recycling in the early 90's was handled by U-16 (U-37) and U-17 (U-38) (both International DT-Series and were retired a few years ago). The roster changed when this video was shot. I don't know if there ever was a P-1 since I never seen it. P-2 is a New Way Viper/Cobra (still active) P-3 a stick shift Loadmaster LM-120HC (became P-26 when it's number went to Heil MultiPack P-26 was traded in for two newer Loadmasters) P-4 a Leach Alpha (became P-25 before being replaced with a MultiPack) P-5 a Leach Alpha (replaced with a Mack LR Heil MultiPack) P-6 is a Leach Alpha which was the slowest packer on the fleet (it was replaced with a Loadmaster Excel) P-7 was a White-Volvo Loadmaster LM-120 (was the first unit to be replaced with a Heil MultiPack or traded for a newer Loadmaster Excel) P-8 was a Leach Alpha (replaced with a Loadmaster Excel) P-9 & P-10 are New Way Viper/Cobra (currently active) and P-11 Leach Alpha (interestingly active but didn't see it for a few months) P-12 (2019) is the newest on the fleet as it was bought used. It's the only Pete 320 on the fleet. The city's yard waste (greens) collection schedule is a bit funky since last year it was on Fridays instead of Mondays which makes it difficult to catch what Packer is on the route. This year might be the same.
