It was an 18”. Did you make sure your sprocket on the clutch and the bar are both the same pitch and match the chain? I have seen 3/8” pitch bars & chains on these saws with a .325” drive sprocket…doesn’t work very well.

The Farmertec cylinders take to machine work & port work pretty well.

@karmanrepairs7579 seen the saw for sale on marketplace, looks like it will make for a good runner. How's the longevity on the aftermarket cylinders? I have a hyway in my husky 268 and seems to be holding up good.

I have not had good luck with Hyway cylinders. They really aren’t able to be ported because the plating will flake off. I personally haven’t found the end of life on any FT cylinder yet.

@karmanrepairs7579 are you using the titanickel? I have the plain Jane hyway 272 pop-up kit and it seems to grind okay. I've heard their titanickel is really hard and chips when ground on.

I had plating peel on a non-ported jug after about 15 tanks. I ruined another one while raising the transfers. I even tried using a diamond ball at the plating, but no luck. Both were prior to the “titanickel”. I won’t touch another one.
