Is this rage bait - Parts should be pre-cut, daddy can't make a model kit, and child isn't allowed to try. You'd be really annoyed to hear about this company called Airfix, you have to paint those toys yourself as well. Not like the little one gets to play in daddy's toy room, get the kragle.

My nephew has one of these and he loves it. It's one of the most durable things like this I've ever seen. Thames and Kosmos makes great stuff.

This seems more akin to a model kit than a science toy. I think it would be more fun if it were presented as such. The model hobby section of stores should have the sprue cutters and other tools you might need to be able to get the pieces out of the frame.

You need sprue cutters, not diagonal cutters. Sprue cutters are designed to leave a flat, burr-free surface. It surprises me that the instructions specifically call for "diagonal cutters." When I was a kid (in the 80's) a lot of toys and models were packed like this, and we always cut them free with Exacto or Swiss Army knives. Honestly, I always found it to be pretty fun. I'd also argue that the assembly provides much more of a learning experience that "here's a plastic robot hand."

This is a science and engineering kit. RUclips some gundam and warhammer hobby tips for building out of sprues. This kit is amazing and has taught my nephews a lot. I honestly cant listen to your entire video because of all the complaining. There are 8 year old boys at my friendly local game store that build and paint miniature armies cut out and assembled from plastic sprues just like this kit. The value for that mech hand kit is insanely good.

Nice to see that stand-alone stores are slowly making a step back into the U.S. once again! As a Canadian though, I still have the massive stores, the whole shebang, just as remembered. Apparently, up here they never went out of business because of franchising or something.

this sucks so bad because i feel like nothing holds a candle to toys r us in the modern day. theres no widely available/accessible chains anymore. it makes me think that toys just arent being sold as much?? when i was a kid we had toys r us and other toy stores that seemed packed, and the toy aisles of non toy stores felt like they had an almost endless selection. but nowadays as an adult collector, i struggle to find anything!! and its not like i have niche tastes and interests either, i collect my little pony, recently started collecting transformers, lego, stuffed animals and animatronic toys. it feels like no store is stocking anything i want now that im an adult with money and can afford it. idk whether to attribute this to nostalgia tinting everything making me think things were better when i was a kid, or to me getting older and things not seeming as big and flashy, but seeing the old videos of 90's toys r us makes me reconsider that... it makes me wish my area had more local toy/hobby shops!!

I believe ToysRus is now owned by the guy that buys all the dead brands and brings them back to life, I don't think he cares how it looks just that it makes money. But he really should hire a really good President that can convert it into a collector Meca, buy out all the local vintage toy shops make the regional toysrus the go to for video game, pokemon, vintage everything, and the new stuff as well. That's how I would re-create ToyRus. Only open them in places with a collector's market and keep the retail ToyRus in Macys but expand to Target, and Walmart.

i was able to snag the orchid on sale about a month ago at walmart for 40$. now im seeing them pop back up in lego stores for more, im glad though because this set deserves it and i hate the bouquets and arrangements. love all the other botanicals tho

MY TAKES (IF I MAY): - Dried Flower Centerpiece - CONFIMRED TO BE RETIRED; only released last year..guess it wasn't that popular? - Bonsai Tree - KEEP ON SHELVES FOR A FEW MORE YEARS; its still an amazing-looking set, and with the Botanical range reaching a new popularity peak, I think new fans would love to own it - Flower Bouquet (2021) - SHOULD BE RETIRED as it pales in comparison to the Wildflower one AND the upcoming Pretty Pink one, plus some of the build techniques in that set are slightly out-of-date compared to what the recent/new sets feature now - Orchid - MAYBE 1-2 MORE YEARS, but will deffo be replaced by the new mini orchid - Succulents - 1-2 MORE YEARS as the new mini pot plants are kind of an upgrade to them

Agreed, if you're only going to get one the orchid is a fun sturdy build with some nice parts usage and a good looking display piece. The bonsai tree is a close second for me it looks great on a shelf and i enjoy watching people double take when they realise it's covered in frogs. It would take number one if dusting it wasn't such a challenge. The bouquets are not easy to keep clean either without knocking something off but generaly the dust is not as noticeable.
