Stage two clutch which is 5 padel with a full surface place other side . Internals standard but can only push 414ftlb. HP can go wherever turbo will take it mines 360bhp anything over that will need a mafless map

Would you advise upgrading the standard clutch on just a stage 1 map?

Depends how warn ur existing one is. The oem is at its limited if u want to hit 400ftlb torque comfortably with no worries id defo just get the clutch itself. I didnt replace the dual mass jus clutch and releasing bearing. Side note 100% get the bigger intercooler to keep temps down thats important

Yea double decat 3 inch exhaust , airtec intercooler, airtec induction kit, stage 4 hybrid turbo n map by wayside. 355 bhp now. Want to forge it to push it to 380 n hav longer revs

Jus search for turbo gauge on ebay pal n then search for astra j vxr turbo gauge surround

No jus make sure u hav a back box n small centrebox

@@jmaynard3970 legend mate, got it coming Monday so going to fit it, my wires are black and red is it the same wiring black to black and red to purple/green? Will it peak at about 1.5 bar and then level out to a certain amount mate? Your car is mint man,

@@Lloyd-ls7vf should all be same colour wiring if its EU/UK made as we have same colour codes. Yea should hit 1.5 from around 2500rpm through to about 4500-4800 then dip. Depends on mapping ect

@@Lloyd-ls7vf good luck with it mate. Jus word of advise . First upgrade id get is a bigger intercooler especially if u like a hard drive. Will bring temps down so u dont start melting pistons

Got mine off ebay. The main thing is to get the surround plate for the airvent

Yea its true but i got basically everything u can get for it including hybrid. Intercooler makes most difference cz boost higher for longer. Mines 347 atm but dont drop lower than 310 all through revs

Iv got resonator and backbox now. Sound sorted lol

Well peak power figures dont mean much if the boost /bhp/torque isnt holding through the rev range. Thats the difference the mods make. I want to forge to increase the torque and push boost up to get around 370-380 and more rpm

It should come on with the ignition only not wen you unlock the car

Yea but the kit like £3k plus brand new hybrid £1.3k and can tek u 380 bhp n not much more u can do torque wise unless u forge it. No point the big kit unless u forge

Its the original j vxr turbo but brand new hybrid. Borg warner stage 4 hybrid. Turbosmart actuator. Can get it from wgmotorworks but its turbo dynamics who produced it.

Map sensor gives up for one and also the maf sensor so needs a mafless remap to get anymore bhp but the ftlb is limited to 400 as anymore will bend rods. If i forge can go 370-380bhp and 425ftlb if u get bigger turbo then can push 450 but may need bigger injectors

@@jmaynard3970 ah right fair enough so the turbo you have the now what’s that rated for , yeah torques a killer I’m on my second engine haha number 4 went through the arse of it nightmare , rusty autos seems a good trip for the forge specially price as well and they’ve a good amount of them under there belt now that’s done a fair amount a miles

@@conyer132 the turbo can run 27-29psi its running 26 atm on my boost gauge. Supposedly will hit 360-380 but every one of these engines are different. Depends how much ‘fair’ price is. The full kit to forge on ebay is bout £1500 so depends on their labour price?!?

@@jmaynard3970 nah ain’t that the truth the rods are good as well if they didn’t short change it on the pistons what a difference it would have made to the engine , last time a was asking about sure it was £2500 for the full package rods pistons rebore as well seems a good deal to me think it’s just the run in time that seems to take a fair amount a time

I have this car in black. Currently in the process of forging the engine decat downpine and secondary cat pipe as well. New stigan turbo from the US, induction kit and a remap after the forge has had some miles done. Hopefully the gains will be decent.

Lol. I know what you mean. Iv boosted mine with all sorts of mods. Ive now put in two mini resonators at the back.

Have you had it properly dyno’d with a read out. I would get it dyno’d seperately to the place you had it mapped to check. Make sure you get a nice curve. Only difference is the hybrid keeps the bhp up longer so mine does drop bellow 308bhp from 2500rpm straight through to 6800rpm

Had it done at rabbid/the tuning society. Yes with print out.had clutch at same time don't go there the mechanic is a dick left nearly all the bolts undone underneath not happy with them.but the map seems good.

No way, u really need stage 2 clutch for that kinda torque. Wat bhp did u get

Got stage 1 clutch from wg.i went with what they said .if I keep car will put big turbo and stage 2 clutch in .was going to forge engine for big bhp but they said 400bhp is about it but with poor running.

Bhp is 326

407ftlb anything over 400ftlb isnt great for the rods can end up bending

Finally had the adapter delivered so fitting mine today. Do you need to block off where the heat still comes through? Or doesn't it effect it?

Ignore that mate go to vented. Nick wiley on faceboom. Its in. Doncaster but i know that they travel. U dont need respray he sprays vents inhouse. Its not noticable as its not a full panel. Like a wing panel u have to blend into door. It loons great and cools down the engine. Can feel the hit out each vent. Great upgrade

Was done at Mr Tyre . You can custome it how you like. I remover the backbox and had a centre box put in. Its bit too loud for me so ive bought two small silencers ill weld myself. This is with single decat.

Appreciate that mate , I have a Astra J 1.4t 5dr do you have a idea it’s it’s the same sort of layout for the exhaust ? Tbf that was a bit loud I’d go for something a bit quieter. Wicked car btw

If yours is the 1.4 turbo will not be as loud atall even if you decat the car. If you decat you will need to get it remapped as will throw a decat eml (engine management light) i would go for a 2.5 inch cat bck bit cheaper and enough flow for a 1.4 . Message me for more info

@@Justvel96_ tbh im not sure but any good fitters can do dual exhaust💁🏾‍♂️ you may need the vxr back bumper then jus fabricate from there but defo can be done

Just waiting for my stage 4 hybrid turbo from wgmotorsports ( turbo dynamics) Will do a unboxing for that then installing them both in one day.
