Fun fact: Black Sabbath are part of the English Blues tradition.
The history making🤘🏼
It's most probably a small jazzkit but Bill makes it sound like Alex VanHalen's quadruple drum set. I was in 1st grade when this all happened, but i caught up just a few years later and as a pre-teen 5th grader, in late 73, i already ''had heard about'' Sabbath. After the 74 Carnation revolution here, very specialized yet restricted import started to reach these Atlantic shores. The first albums i remember holding were Vol4 and SBS, but they weren't mine ... yet.
Не, спасибо Блек Саббат. Такого не надо.
Badass!!
Had a chance to see the four piece version of BUDGIE in 79 way up North along the state line with about 20 other die hard fans in some dive bar.
That four piece with Myf Isaac on second guitar is probably my favorite lineup. Showcased on the "Heavier than Air" comp. Really tight and concise. Very cool you saw them, much less that version of the band.
@@DoomMetalSludge Now here is the odd thing. I am absolutely convinced that the two guitarists I saw that show were Tony Bourge and big John Thomas. This was 1979 I think. Those two guys had distinctive faces and I was less than ten feet from the stage. I immediately went home afterwards and checked the album liner photos and I remain 99.9 % sure.
@@markstevens1106 I don't know if the timeline would line up. Myf and Bourge left in mid 78' are were replaced by Rob Kendrick and Huw Lloyd-Langton (Kendrick convinced them to sack Huw) and the subsequent trio toured late 78 before moving to Texas for a disastrous run of US shows that bankrupted the band. In fact, Burke and Steve hadn't met John Thomas until 79 when his band Bombshell opened for them, after they moved back to the UK and effectively canned Kendrick, but not before forcing him to finish the tour dates to pay their bills, as the move to Texas was his idea to begin with.
Rod Evans, vocals, Bobby Caldwell, drums, bass, Lee Dorman, and Rhino on guitar. I managed to see the Willie Daffron fronted version of this band at the Camels Hump in Hanover Park. Often times called hangover park for some reason or another. I think Caldwell and Daffron might still be alive but the rest of them are gone. One of my favorite albums of all time.
Rod is still alive. Cool story! Thanks for watching
@@DoomMetalSludge I neglected to say that was righteously heavy dose of acid rock. Great job. I stand corrected about Evans. Not to mention the Jim Jones tee ya sporting here!
A treat for fans of Black Sabbath, true pioneers of heavy metal.
It was great to hear their early live shows.

I've never heard a Sabbath song with Jethro Tull on flute in the middle or is it Ozzy just before the drum solo lmfao!~
Tony Iommi
Probably my favorite band of all time. And all the other bands Eric Wagner put together. The Skull, Lid, Blackfinger, was there another one? Never got tired of the Wagnerian ethos.
🔥hell yea brother ☝️
Into my all time favorites like Budgie, Trouble, and Cirith Ungol. Managed to see Burke and the band once. Trouble went through several line up changes and I saw most of them 2003 - 2020. And then there was The Skull with Eric Wagner. May he rest in peace. Keep the DOOM going. I dig your work.
Great cover ! ❤
great gitar sound.. love the snare sound, just maybe can turn down a bit for ride mix. anyway cool cover!
The entire drum track is off one microphone, the ride is certainly noticable. At this point I figure I should start investing in proper mics for the kit. Just been lazy 😂
Hell yea brother
