Straight to the do not recommend button!!?
That 1/2 rotation bite will come loose a lot sooner, compared to having a full wrap +.
The music killed it. Would have been better with the shop noise in the background.
Noted. Sorry you didn't like the music. We try to mix it up a bit. What would you have preferred?
would've liked to see the pour !
Аяй специалист ))
Another clipped video-useless.
Nice to see the job completed
Кому то будут чистить дымоход....
Love this!!!!
There goes a minute of my life
😅😅😅
Why?
Why protect the sling? Or are you just sad that we covered up your favorite material on the planet? 😉
Why?
It says it in the title
This is my work here in Brasil. My record for this same type of loop was with a 1⅛" 6x25 cable without help just me.
I for one would not trust that
I be lifting heavy shii above my head with grade 43
Yikes! We definitely don't recommend that. Please be careful!
Got to protect those eyes..

We sell synthetic rope and winch lines on our site, Lifting.com. Here's the page for this specific rope: lifting.com/hyper-xii-hmpe-high-performance-rope.html If you need assistance, feel free to reach out via our onsite chat. Thank you for taking an interest!
I call it a hammerlock
Hammerlock is a great name for them, since you lock them together with a hammer! What industry are you in where this is the primary term? We're always excited to learn more about y'all. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

Always wondered!
awww, I though it was gonna weave it, old school style
Awesome Work 👍
Theyre gonna cut through the fence instead 😂
🤣
"Picking the lock, which is not going to be easy to do" McNally will have it open in under 1 second...Bumping, raking, or just whacking the side with another lock...
We're sorry that people are so good at being dishonest. Do you have any examples of Viro locks being opened that easily? We'd love to hear your suggestions for better locks if you think this one is that easy to get into!
@@bishoplifting7379 Yes, LockPickingLawyer has a video on it: ruclips.net/video/mSJ9sa55j9U/видео.html
@@bishoplifting7379 Is 3 seconds fast enough? ruclips.net/video/mSJ9sa55j9U/видео.html
Keeping the honest man honest with this one. But in all seriousness you can spend all the money in the world on locks and chains, a meth addict with nothing to do all night and a basic understanding of tools is gonna get in 100% of the time.
That is unfortunately true of all security efforts we can think of. Now if only there were a way to make the dishonest people honest!
No washer for the nut side?
We were only planning to use this for railing, and the instructions didn't explicitly state that a washer was needed. However, upon further inspection since posting this, we have checked with Crosby directly and found that, specifically for an angle-load bolt in WOOD in a lifting scenario, a washer is recommended for both the eye and nut sides of the bolt. Thanks for checking on our accuracy!
The world would stop without wire rope/chokers.
You didn't think he was going to make a bonsai tree did you?
I don't get the advantage of feeding the strap through the ratchet and them back out the same way again. I'm a truck driver and I've been using ratchet straps for decades. I've always just fed the strap through the ratchet the one way and then I tighten it. I find it way easier to release it as well, because when I release the ratchet I can then just tug the strap and it rolls the slot to a position where the strap just slides out easily and doesn't have to do a 180 around the slotted bar. As the straps get older and a little stiffer from use I think it's much easier my way.
Pick different music like to a popular song and you’ll get so many likes on this vid
For real
@skimasktroopa1883 We're glad you like the content! Unfortunately, using pop music would violate copyrights. This is why we use generic music provided by RUclips and other source content platforms. Is the jazzy music a turn-off? Do you have a recommendation for a good music service that offers for-profit use music licenses?? We'd love some suggestions if you have a good solution.
Like how you guys are so careful with the rope.
What's with the terrible wrap job then 🤷🏼♂️
This is just a preliminary wrap to hold the rope onto the spool. We do a final wrap as part of the shipping process.
The world would stop without what you make. The music is a little much.
Ah, so you don't like the punk rock? We'll keep that in mind. Thanks for letting us know! 😇
I have one. It’s a beast!
Why would anyone ever want that
Why would they want a locking hook? These are primarily used when lifting personnel baskets. It's a safety thing. 🙂
We call it a Molly Hogan!
I love work,I could watch it all day.
Called Molly
Too fast to really see what's going on. Dislike
Thanks for your feedback! We're sorry you didn't like the pacing of the video. If you want more complete splicing shorts, here's an end-to-end Flemish splice for a choker sling, ruclips.net/user/shortsYnDa_sHlYVk. Maybe check out our "In the Shop" playlist, ruclips.net/p/PLt4-mEl018k1PpjJWLfxGeDORDIl0nELO, too.
Ah, you use preform for the eyes and then crimp it, nice!
We hope we didn't mislead you! Although the video starts here with the eye partly formed, what you're seeing started as regular wire rope, not as a "preformed" piece. The team separates out some of the wire strands, bends the remaining rope into the eye shape, then starts weaving sets of strands back into the eye backward. The swage sleeve is placed beforehand because it helps hold the strands in place while they're working, but after you reach a certain point, it locks in and holds itself. After the splicing job is finished, we can press (swage) the sleeve to ensure proper breaking strength.
Worked in the wire rope industry for a few years and used that same esco 550 ton press
One of the funnest and hardest jobs I ever had
I learned how to do this working on an old mechanical Crain as a dock builder...... Good times!!!!!
That's awesome! Thanks for sharing!😀
Those crafty Flems!!!
God, I miss doing this as a rigger for the Boilermakers' Local 13, Philadelphia, PA.
