That roundback got fucked up

I met and spoke with Eric on a few occasions in Sonoma. I was just some old race fan, but Eric always treated me like we were best friends for decades. A very nice and welcoming young man taken from us too soon. Rest in peace Eric.

When I first saw title to video thought it was Epic Video. It was a nice surprise to see it was Eric Video.

How ironic and a little bit twisted that I had to sit thru an E/range tire information commercial before watching this video.

By all accounts, John Force was deeply affected by Eric's death. He claims he was the son he never had and went down some dark paths before John's accident in 2007.

Eric Medlin drove a very fast car, things can happen and do. I loved this guy and was very bummed when he got hurt and eventually passed from his injuries. Scott Kalitta was another that hurt alot. Shit can happen when you go that fast from a dead stop to a crash. This still does not diminish my love of drag racing, although i miss the dry hops Funny cars used to do.

I feel a pain in my heart every time I see this. Driving a Funny Car was not Eric's life, it was a part of his life. What we see is Eric giving 110% to this part as I'm certain he gave to all in his life. What we see is Eric showing us how to live life to the fullest, giving it all to each part! ... adios mi amigo

It's a real shame someone has to die from head injuries for people to wise up and install roll bar padding. We were required to have it in bomber-junk stock cars, yet apparently nobody thought it was of any use in a car that goes 325 mph in a few seconds. I suppose Eric's legacy is the cars are safer now. RIP
