However, the foundation of this journey lies in first accepting and embracing our true selves. Parents, more often than not, are perceptive and attuned to their children. In most cases, they are already aware of who we are, but out of love and respect, they often choose not to interfere unless they sense something is genuinely wrong. For instance, a parent might step in if they notice signs of distress or depression in their child, motivated by their instinct to protect and support. This dynamic underscores the profound bond between parents and children-a relationship built on understanding, love, and mutual acceptance.

I often wonder if I were a millenial if my coming out would have been less traumatic. I was physically & emotionally hurt by my father for being rumored gay & for my "traces" of feminine gestures ( I struggled to act straight, hanged out with boys that bullied gays.) I was confused & made every effort to convince myself I am straight. All through this dark teenage years, my mom was my rock because she encouraged my artistic/creative personality. Then my Pa died & I was secretly relieved inspite of my sorrows for losing him. By 22 yrs old, I was still convinced I am "really" straight, I would even have 2 GF at same time. Until we moved to San Francisco were the veil & closet I've managed to hide in were slowly but progressively unraveled & forced open. After long & stressful contemplations, I decided to come out to my mother- I decided not to care about anyone else's acceptance. All that mattered was my mom. She was my rock. After a 1week spiritual retreat I took to get courage, I rushed home to tell her I'm gay. I assumed she will reply: "I know you are, I'm your mom & it's ok because I Love you." Alas, she instead REJECTED ME. That very moment of her rejection, I felt my world collapsing. I left the family that same day, and never spoke to her. I felt BETRAYED. All of my siblings accepted me & after 5 years they convinced me to see her on Mother's Day. But she belittled me instead. In total, I did not speak or seen her for 35 years, until 3 years ago when again my siblings convinced me to speak to her because she's very ill. On her Bday, I video called her. But she barely recognised me. She had dimentia. I decided to set aside my ego & pride & made plans to fly out to see her. But she passed away before I was able to see her. I watched her memorial on family live stream. In the end, I again felt cheated & betrayed because inspite the many decades of her resistance to admit she rejected me, I swallowed my pride & forgave her, only to be denied the closure I so wanted to have with her. Pardon my very long narrative. I simply want to share to the parents who watched this video : " Please do not risk losing your child for denying their happiness for who they believe they are".

I still feel shame of being gay and hate myself because of gay bullying. Self-acceptance is a long way for me. I am also worried about whether my family members will accept me. Adding a third into a relationship Has many pitfalls I have watched Adam Grayn and Jeremy atm it seems to be working !! They are like 3 best friends !! But mostly it doesn't work.Why because two of the three many be more into eachother and if there is an issue it could be two against one !! For it to work all 3 must have the same values in many things !! Plus listening to this video there is an underlining feel that both are almost keen to try it. If one is looking at others and thinking o yes fun 3 way sex ect ect there is a big danger when a couple add a third person to the mix !! It may work for some but for most it will destroy the couples relationship in the end sorry !!
