Thank you for this. Is there a residential AOP system that is/can be sized properly?
That was fantastic. Think I’ll just stick to chlorine
What exactly do they mean by "today's hiring environment" ? 🤔
Wish pool professionals would listen to this.
What happened to the podcast?
Im working for a pool company that pays me 12 per pool.
Is that a fair wage in todays market?
I do about 43 pools a week
feel bad for these kind of pool guys seem like they suck at budgeting money
we ONLY text or email. yes answering the phone is essential but we always require on site meet and greets and everything from there is either a bid online email or text always need carbon or black and white record . 99.9% is all text email to fall back on. I dont know how many conversations ive had with customers and its almost like they never listened to me. even via text ive had the same conversation 4 5 times no exhaggeration with the same customer on an expensive filter install and pad replumb and if I didnt have that text to screenshot it would been bad. also the 4 5 pools next to each other is a pipe dream. the main thing to set you apart here is be price right . pre covid we were 25 a week now most pools average2-300 per month. some of his ideals are definitely lets say outdated. also a pool route software like skimmer or pay the pool man is essential with route optimzation , invoicing and accounting integrated into one no need anymore for quickbooks and 3 other apps to run your business. And I disagree with having to be available on the weekends or 9am on a sunday. give me a break. we communicate on sign up our hours and set expectation. there is no pool emergency it can always always wait till Monday . shut down power cut your water source and it will all be fine. you set yourself up for burn out and extra un needed stress. we have all our business hours posted and a voicemail on our phone. Michelle if you have a 1,000 iphone you should prob learn to use it and send it via text . simple :)

A business breakdown list to bring in an employee would be great on what to expect.
Do you guys sell a book that I can read
yes please

Very informative video. Surprised you don't have more views. Lowry sure knew his stuff. He'll be missed.
We don’t need these companies to “sell” your industry we just want good pay for the good work we do. These companies pay with peanuts out here in phoenix
Make sure you’re paying your employees great pay no one wants labor jobs anymore especially if there is other jobs paying more to be inside with cold AC. The 10 per pool pay isn’t going to work anymore for all these greedy companies they will fail , you get what you pay for
Morons... banning NG
can you include a link to the product in your description?
Question on the HOCL and OCL- in relationship with pH. Robert mentioned that the ratio of hocl to ocl when the pH is about 7.5 is 50:50. What would this ratio be at higher pH values of 8.5 to 9.0? Thank you for your help in advance.

How do you wire to omni direct. What relay do you use
Hi here from florida broward 🤙🍀
Very interesting. Checking into this more.
Sounds like a great option to upgrade pool plaster finish. Will it last longer than a fiberglass lining like AquaGlassTM installed by Aqua Creations Company in California?
I want to keep up with this I’m interested in hearing more from you’ll

How would you recommend adding borate if you have a 100 pools on your service route?
Sounds good!!!! Question…can you use a high silane Penetrating sealer (e.g. Hydrozo 100) first, then a few days later apply the micro glass. In other works….double protection. Can’t wait to see the ozone application!!!!
Thank you for watching and commenting Lei. Good question. Nothing else before Microglass because we need raw cement so we can fill the capillaries.
So where does the data cable for a sp3206vsp connect
The low voltage communication wire is connected through the end of the pump. Depending upon what version of the pump you have, access to that area of the pump requires you to remove the top digital display (very easy, two screws) and then remove a safety cover. Once you remove the safety cover you will see the area to wire the communication cable.

You recommended a specific product in this video for boric acid but I can't find it online. Where can I purchase it from?
Andrew, email me and I can provide info for you. poolpropod@gmail.com
Yes…Sutro is for real.
Frustration at only being able to buy 3 cases? Out here we have the problem that Hasa chlorine AND acid is no longer available at all. It's flat out not there. The pool store owners tell me they can't get it anymore.
Where is this?
Precision pool dosing. I was laughed at 20 years ago for doing that. Now I'm the one laughing.
Ehh. You stated the “ripple effect” which has actually turned into a tsunami would go well into next year. Then you stated maybe September or will get back to normal. Which one is it? We hope you do have the raw material you stated at end of the video. Pool guys flying blind and over pouring? It may happen but not with the majority of pool pros. We’re at the property weekly so we know what we pour and how long it’s lasting. That was a weak point. Also no, I am not telling my client they only deserve so much chlorine.
Thanks for taking the time to comment and to watch the episode. The reference to early next year is the overall industry and the reference to September was Hasa specifically. It is great you are dosing chemicals correctly for your customers. There are some pool pros out there that are flying blind and we hope to help those folks.
Great information. Thought the swim chlorine free sign was a little funny
We need a solution soon, Coachella Valley is too hot and demand a lot of chemicals for their 50,000+ pools that almost all are serviced twice a week, in a week without chlorine and acid they become emerald and after 10 days yellow and green algae appears. all 8 big stores are receiving each one less than a truck per week when last years were receiving 3 per week.
when can we expect liquid to hit the shelves in socalif
Will pose the question to them.
We're seeing smaller more frequent shipments arriving. One issue is the shortage of shells & bottles to refill due to hoarding. Many warehouses are selling on an even exchange basis only. Best thing is to call ahead to your local branches. Some of the issues fall on distribution's shoulders. I've seen pallets of tabs at Costco & Walmart, while our distributors are out. Why? That's the next big question that needs answering.
@@chicpossessions you see pallets of chems at the big brand stores because homeowners also need product too. Not just pool pros.
Great job at explaining what HASA is doing to answer this unprecedented demand Chris Brink and why there have been supply shortages.
Wont this just put the pool man out of business? Seems shortsighted by Hayward
The opposite is true. It makes a qualified pool tech all the more essential. These systems need monitoring, dose time adjustments, checking calibration, etc. it takes a qualified technician to keep these systems performing properly, and all other water chemistry parameters still need to be controlled.
Great podcast! I always learn something new when Rudy’s on deck.
Thank you Larry!
Great podcast about pool leak detection and the processes used by modern leak detection experts
Thanks Steve!
Great show! Larry is one of the greats in this field and a good friend. Leak detection is truly a form of swimming pool wizardry 🧙♂️ A specialty service within a specialty market. Hats off to a great interview!
Thank you.
Was wondering what the group thinks about enzymes....
Enzymes are a great way to reduce oils and organics and keep the water cleaner
Enzymes break down carbon and help break up and prevent biofilm. They are useful for removing oils from water as well. Enzymes are proteins created by living organisms that help digestion. If there is a need, use them.
How do I get more involved and get hands on a system
Send me an email to poolpropod@gmail.com and I will connect you with Dave. He can help you. Thank you.

Outstanding podcast. What is the technical name of this new sand media & any ETA when this hits the residential pool market?
Hey Lei, thank you for the comment and the question. It is the Cera Flow by Wateropolis. Here is the podcast link we did with them. More to come on this topic. ruclips.net/video/NDlAaVV15BM/видео.html
Great info!
thank you!
Great Stuff Guys. Question #1 will an ozone system with an O2 concentrator sized for 5-10 grams of ozone per hour for a 20k gallon residential pool work in Hawaii (tropics). Question 2: how do the microplasma ozone systems match up with the Corona discharge systems. Question # 3: about how much more energy does an oxygen concentrator add to a typical home with an ozone system that uses 5-10 grams per hour of ozone. Question #4: what are the maintenance requirements needed for an typical ozone system (5-10 grams per hour of ozone with an oxygen concentrator). Thanks...for posting video.
Hey Lei, we recorded the answers to your questions and I will be uploading the video with Dave and Greg later today. I will let you know when it is up. Thank you for such great questions!
