    Very interesting to hear your process when you are thinking about buying new items. Do you enjoy the process of researching items? It strikes me that it is a bit like a treasure hunt and a very mindful process which would help with your enjoyment of your purchases. No need to rush to level up everything at once. Taking time to think and try things out is so worthwhile and can lead to positive change in not only our physical spaces. Good to see you have settled on one trench coat. Lovely choice. Enjoy and have a great week. ❤

    Good points! ❤ I have MS, had to let go of some favourite purses and switch to a light small crossbody. I wore the nylon Baggalini I got to fill the gap (try it out) for 2 years while I thought about what I wanted in a good leather. I just bought it last month and I love it. It’s the Cassie 19 by Coach which has 3 interchangeable handles; the leather crossbody, a chunky chain shoulder, and a delicate handle for clutch or wrist wearing. Black pebble leather with brass hardware. Hopefully it will be my purse for a lifetime. I’m glad I waited, saved up and didn’t settle on something lesser that would need replacing and wouldn’t bring daily joy. Leveling up the daily use items slowly and carefully really does add joy to life. I’m keeping my Baggalini- it’s perfect for travel - it goes through the washing machine, it has RFID protection and is a proven quality but for daily use I am enjoying the look and feel of my new leather bag.

    I definitely prefer the first one. Both in terms of the colour against your skin tone and the overall fit. It's far more flattering on your petite frame. The other two seem far more casual (horse riding???) and the cut seems to overpower you and disguise your features. From my own experience, as a petite lady, I have often made the mistake of purchasing clothes that are far more suited to taller girls or loose and flowy (but don't accentuate my best features). Yes, yes, definitely the first one!!! ❤

    The first one - the Scott looks best on you in terms of style. You’re petite and it doesn’t swallow you up. It’s chic. The colour is nice. It adds a warmth- which is visually appealing in cold dreary weather. The lining of the Scott will slide over knits and bulky layers better than the cotton poly lining of the Clyde. Try both over some of your more “sticky” knits that resist slipping into a coat to see if it’s an issue. I would go with the Scott and let go your original coat (sell or donate) and return the Clyde if I were you. If unsure then put your original coat aside till you’re sure & ready to let it go. The Clyde coat swallows you up, the lines are sack like. Maybe a very tall person would look good in it but even then I have my doubts. It’s a sack. No style lines to suggest your nice figure underneath.

    I love the first one. It's so flattering on you! It looks so elegant, classic and well made. The fact that you can tie in front or back gives it a different look. The second one I think is not as flattering. It doesn't look expensive, even though it is. I guess it depends on what look you want. • @soulexplorer76

    I understand your dilemma. Even though they are all trench coats the styles are so completely different. I think it all depends on when and where you're planning on wearing the trench and what sort of vibe you want to feel on those occasions. My preference goes to the 1st coat you tried, the Scott, to me it feels more versatile: it would work just as well to pop round to the shops or go for a walk around the neighbourhood as an evening out with friends or family for instance. It feels more chic and feminine but can be given a relaxed vibe with a pair of sneakers and a chunky scarf around the neck. It would also look amazing with pumps, booties or even boots. Works well with skirts/dresses, jeans or a smarter pair of trousers or even over a pair of sweat pants. The lining is also made of nicer fabric. The Clyde gives a more relaxed vibe overall and looks super comfy. You could definitely wear more layers under it without feeling uncomfortable. I'm not sure about the length of it on you. The camel version looks like it almost swallows you up, the beige one looks much better. The Clyde feels less versatile and I don't know how practical it would be to be driving while wearing it considering the length and the fact that there are no buttons at the split (I don't drive so... 🤷🏻). To me it gives more of a countryside vibe (and there's nothing wrong with that, I love that style!). I can picture someone wearing it over a thick jumper, a pair of jeans, a warm scarf and a nice pair of wellies to go for a long walk out in nature. I find it more difficult to picture it with a skirt or a dress, possibly because of the length. But I could be wrong. I'm no stylist ☺ Am I wrong in feeling that you seemed to have a bit of a preference for the Scott? I felt that you went into much more detail when you described it. Those are my thoughts. It all comes down to how you want to feel when you wear the coat, when and where you think you would be wearing it and so on all the while trying not to fall in the fantasy self trap (and that's not always easy...). If you go for the Clyde I would recommend the beige one. Good luck 🍀 and sending hugs 🤗🌺

    I plan to go through my winter coats and jackets this year. I love a trench coat, had one my whole adult life. I have a vintage Mac-style raincoat which belonged to my mother, bought on Regent Street, London, in the early 60s. Not a trench, but timeless. My everyday trench is M&S which I purchased in the 80s. The quality of the M&S trench is out of this world, they don’t make anything like it now. The coats and jackets i declutter regularly are the puffer ones, because they only ever last one year before looking less than great.

    • @teawithlilibet

    What a difficult decision! This is the sort of dilemma I have very often when trying to declutter items of clothing. For example, I have several long-sleeved tees. They have slightly different necklines, fabric and weight. I prefer different tees depending on the weather and occasion or activity. I wear them all but would prefer to have fewer items in my wardrobe from which to choose. The trench coats that you are considering are all gorgeous and look very elegant on you. They are also very versatile and practical. Personally, I think the first one is the best choice because it looks smarter for more formal occasions while also being suitable for more everyday use. The look can also be varied by tying the belt in different ways. The second coat looks so comfortable and could perhaps accommodate bulkier winter clothes. It is also a better length for colder, wetter weather. I really like the camel colour on you, although I guess the lighter colour would match a wider colour palette (perhaps check the colours against the clothes you will wear this autumn/winter). Not sure what I would do in your situation. Love this sort of content.

    Welcome home Lilibet. Good to hear that you had a nice time in Sydney at your conference and revisiting old haunts, and that your capsule wardrobe worked so well. Ludwig and all your plants are looking so happy. Your sister really has the knack with them, as do you. I am impressed that you have managed to clean, declutter and organise your pantry after coming back from your trip with low energy. Doesn't it feel good to get things back in order! I hope it stays organised for a while for you. You really do have a lovely home, enjoy.

      Thanks Rena, Ludwig continues to surprise me with more changes. He's got tiny little flowers sprouting now. I had a few days rest before tackling the pantry and then collapsed a bit after that effort and needed more rest days! It's a bit of a process recovering from a trip. I've found I can't wait to feel fantastic before getting on with things but have to pace. I hope all is well with you and your apartment. 😍

    Sorry to hear you have CF Lillibet, it really plays havoc with the lives of sufferers. Seeing the views of Parramatta was eye opening, my parents used to live near there, I grew up in country NSW and spent a lot of time in Sydney. Re your little apartment is seems to me that the more space we are given the more we try to cram in, you are doing very well. It would probably do all of us good to have to downsize at some point. Stay well.

    • @teawithlilibet
      @teawithlilibet 27 дней назад

      Thanks Kay! Yes Parramatta was a beautiful surprise. Did you grow up in inland or coastal country NSW? I visited a few lovely places around NSW when I was living in Sydney. The south coast is very lovely too. But of course there is always too much to see. Agree re: space, having less is definitely suiting my lifestyle these days. 😍

It's so important for your health and wellbeing to look forward with positivity and happiness 💝 I am stopping this wonderful video part way because I have a friend visiting and I am determined to do a full-on tidy 😅 I must say, I am enjoying the video so far. One thing I do is I get the bottom of an oblong tupperware, yes I'm born before 90 lol, and I use it to house my soy sauce oil vinegars honey anything liquid that drips a little even though I try to be careful, in the drawer or cupboard. It keeps them contained and it's easy to just pull out the whole container to clean
