    what was the win condition?

    • @WorldOfChessTournaments
      @WorldOfChessTournaments 4 дня назад

      @Bejitajap Thank you for your comment. I've been looking at the position for a while now and the first question I always ask myself is: Would I rather be the player of the black or the white pieces? Well, the white pieces are by far more active and exert maximum pressure on the black kingside. The e6-square represents an extreme weakness in the position. d6-d5 seems to be forced, because on e6-e5 the black-squared bishop simply moves to e3 and Black shifts his problems. The black pieces are defensively positioned and get in each other's way more than they can actively influence the action. I also think that as soon as the knight comes from c3 towards the centre/king's wing, a loss of material is inevitable. So as far as I can tell in my humble opinion, there's no direct threat to the black king in sight yet, but there will be a loss of material soon and the game will be lost as a result. How do you see it? I think the player with the black pieces resigned at the right moment.

      @@WorldOfChessTournaments Oh I see! That made sense after reading your explanation, and thinking about it some more. Black clearly foreseen an inevitable loss, so cut it short when he did. Thank you for your well thought out, and clear response. Have a Happy New Year, friend.

      @WorldOfChessTournaments 4 дня назад

      @nuclearthreat545 That makes me very happy! I feel exactly the same way. He may not have been the best chess player of all time; there are many different opinions here, but he was definitely the most brilliant player of all time. His innovations are more relevant today than ever: - Higher prize money for the players - Chess clocks that tick according to his idea (time increment) and finally no more hanging games. If anyone still knows that today 😀 - And let's not forget what now seems to be becoming more and more popular: Fischer Random Chess or 960 Chess. Even if it sounds exaggerated, you could say that Bobby Fischer sacrificed his life for chess.

      @OGS2099 Hello dear chess friend. First of all I would like to thank you for your subscription - thank you very much! I've now checked the game against the database and Black's last move Rxf3 was indeed the last move. Fischer has to hit back, no matter what, and he would have a whole rook down after the exchange of blows. Even if you consider that this chess game was a simultaneous game, it was still a remarkable performance by Diebert. I hope you will enjoy the other games, as there are many more to come. I wish you lots of fun and enjoy! 😀

    Did anyone notice the error symbol on the first move e4?

    • @WorldOfChessTournaments
      @WorldOfChessTournaments 13 дней назад

      Thank you for your comment. The question mark on the first move appears because Stockfish does not seem to recognise quickly enough that it is already a new game. To be honest, this bothers me too, but I have not been able to find anything in the settings that changes this behaviour. In any case, it looks quite unusual when a question mark appears at 1.e2-e4, which reminds me of Bobby Fischer's quote ‘Best by test.' The only solution that has occurred to me is to buy an even more powerful computer. I'm already saving up for it and hope that this annoying symbol will have disappeared by the first move. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy the games and will continue to watch them.

    Spectacular ending to this game for sure. But I'm hoping someone can explain what is going on in the opening! I was totally baffled by Carissa's Qe7, Kd8-c7 maneuver - what the idea behind that?

    • @aanon4019
      @aanon4019 2 месяца назад

      As a patzer, id say that Carissa's space advantage is on the king side, so if she wants to push that advantage, her king might be safer on the queen side. And I guess it turns out the a-file rook was better placed as a defensive piece stopping whites counterplay than as an offensive piece, so better to not castle

      @@aanon4019 Yes thanks for the input! The K-side space does explain Qe7, as opposed to the more typical c7-a5 diagonal. (And the Q does eventually end up rampaging through the K-side almost single-handedly!) So she understood her plan early on. But walking the King right into the open b-file (which she herself created on like move 4!) is certainly counterintuitive. It almost seemed like tactically she needed the King as a defender of b6 to try to free up her other pieces - which does sound upside down and backwards! Anyway the resulting situation with all the pieces frozen in a standoff on the Q-side with the K-side virtually vacant was quite a visual!

      The thanks are all on my side. I fully share your opinion. Yesterday I watched Nihal Sarin vs. Daniel Dardha live and I was surprised that the arbiter let the game end in a draw, even though Sarin had 2 seconds left on the clock. It was and is definitely exciting... By the way: this game will be online tonight. Many thanks again.

    Although Nordibek wins, Predke played very well and with ideas.

      I'm very pleased that everything is okay with you. You know, breaks also carry their own creativity and shape, or rather reorganize, the rhythm that still seems to lie in the future. In short: it's good to take a break. Even in the royal game, which is extremely creative in itself. Take your time, because time doesn't matter. I'm just happy when I know that everything is fine with you.

      Hi @SofiaTrainer, Did you like the change I made to the thumbnails? Now you can see the result at first glance, so to speak... 🙃 Was it what you wanted? I hope so.

      I don’t really like see8ng what the result is before I watch the game, so no it’s not what I wanted but agin it’s totally ok! I don’t expect you to change your channel for one fan! It was a minor suggestion. It’s like if I told sssniperwolf she should dye her hair green and when she doesn’t do it I’d unsubscribe, it’s totally fine. Still love the channel❤

      Producing videos is comparable to the process a painter goes through. There are no limits to creativity; constant growth, further development, experimentation and also taking a step back to see the big picture... Let's see how the videos develop over time. Big thank you!
