    Just ordered a set of red paddles for my 2013 FX4 Eboost. Definitely gonna use t-taps when I do mine. I’m scarred up from splicing the old school way with razors, screwdrivers and my teeth! 😅

    I really want to get this for my 2013 EcoBoost. But it’s a column shifter. I’m a pretty decent DIY’er by watching RUclips videos but I’d never be able to figure out the wiring for it. I found this video from your site. By chance have an install video for the column shifters?

    Pretty awesome. So in Drive, you can paddle select up or down, but how do you go back to Drive again. Do you just hold the paddle for a longer period and it defaults back to drive? Maybe you can do a real time drive video on this awesome mod. Here in Australia, many RHD conversion shops dont alter the shifter buttons when moving the steering wheel over. So off road you are left feeling around with your fingers for the up and down buttons instead of rocking them with your thumb where you can see them. This mod would fix that problem for good.

      To allow access to all gears in drive after shifting with the paddles hold the + paddle(up shift) for 2 seconds and it will open all the gears back up again. Thanks man I didn’t realize that was an issue on the Australian trucks.

    • @lukegerard9009
      @lukegerard9009 2 года назад

      I contemplated both techniques but settled on the butt connectors because it provides a more secure and reliable connection at the splice. Since it’s signal wires we’re tapping in to and resistance can affect the overall outcome this seemed like the better option. Hope that answers your question man!

Tonneau covers a must because it blocks the air from hitting the tailgate and creating drag, air filter was huge for gas mileage too. And also depends on what size rims and tires you run as well.
