Instead, I'll introduce you to the basics of the South Indian system called Konnakol and several rhythmic concepts including metric modulation. These fundamental concepts are used to create intricate rhythmic compositions and are suitable for all musicians and instruments.

That is VERY sarod-like. A couple people say sitar but if I close my eyes I don't hear Ravi Shankar, I hear Ustad Ali Akbar Khan.
