Che meraviglia

Veramente una magnifica interpretazione. Non ho avuto il piacere di conoscere il maestro ma sento che ho perso qualcosa di veramente Italiano che andava Ascoltato. bel suono, bel fraseggio,ritmo soprattutto traspare una facilità nel suonare non comune. Grazie per questi video.

I know that a lot of people consider this work to be bombastic, shallow trash, but I love it. The orchestration is rich and well-employed to depict the scenes that Strauss meant the audience to visualize.

Complimenti per aver creato questo canale, artistico e didattico, necessario per trasmettere ai giovani (e meno giovani) l'idea musicale e il suono di un maestro magnifico e gentile. Indimenticabili le lezioni nel suo appartamento a Milano. Uomo raffinato ed elegante, esempio di amore, dedizionene e grande rispetto per la musica e per il suo lavoro. I had the privilege of listening to Maestro Giulini when he was Conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. He was truly one for the ages. Along with Maestro Georg Solti and Daniel Barenboim what music they gave us. Gustavo Dudamel is now the heir apparent and, with time, will reach the top of the Pyramid.

Sempre con Maazel, spero si possano recuperare frammenti da un concerto registrato nel 1989 con musiche di Verdi e Respighi.

Ciao Erik! It’s the same concert. Bodanza switches to the Bb trumpet for the last movement’s famous solo using a shallower mouthpiece. He said it was much more confortable with this set up. The courious thing that the Bach C he is playing was a fantastic Early Elkhart 239 25C LB that belongs to the second trumpet, who is playing a Schilke which belonged to Bodanza 😅. He then added a MC1 Malone leadpipe to that Schilke and it became a terrific Horn, that couriously enough I borrowed lately for Bartok Concerto for Orchestra with the Milan Symphony Orchestra, when I was playing principal there.

But in the last movement switches from Schilke vs Callet battle. I assume these are from different dates?
