I own an Irish Terrier. Hyperkeratosis used to be a hereditary illness in this breed but thanks to the work of breeders internationally, this isn't a problem anymore. Hasn't been in a long time. Just thought I'd mention it because this keeps coming up in dog descriptions and videos that use old and outdated information about the breed or just copy each other.

DO NOT GET THE MODERN STYLE OF SIAMESE CAT. THEY ARE NOT HEALTHY. THEY DON'T LIVE FOR A LONG, LONG TIME. The Applehead and Classic Siamese Cats are generally healthy. It's not unusual for these cats to live 20+ years. Even with a Traditional or a Classic Siamese, there are health issues to be cognisant of. Siamese cats are prone to dental issues, so you'll want your cat to get regular dental work from the vet. My Classic Siamese girl is 17.5 years old and going strong; my mother's Traditional Siamese passed away at age 23. My vet says that I'm giving my girl ideal cat care, including high quality, species appropriate food (My girl has a nasty food allergy... she is fine with lamb, rabbit or venison... I feed her rabbit). The vet thinks my girl is a good candidate to join the 20 year club. My mother, on the other hand, provided her cat only adequate care. She purchased her food at the grocery store. Her cat became obsessed with fish and was that way when she got him from the animal shelter. She didn't provide him with dental care. So, even with not the best care, my mother's Siamese boy lived for a long, long time. Seal Point can have either black or dark brown points and be correct. I got my girl from a rescue, so by law, she had to be spayed. This is a shame, because she is breed standard correct, suitable for breeding.

I was making holidays shaped wax melts out of scented candles tonight. Got the last batch poured into the molds. Before I could move the tray of molds into the freezer, my cat jumped onto the table, directly onto the tray, spilling it all over himself and my hardwood floors. At 2am. I was just about to go to bed. Now it's 3am, my floor has a fresh wax coating, and my cat is avoiding me like I did it to him 🤦‍♀️

This video is so accurate. I have had both breeds and I preferred a ragdoll when I was raising my children. Ragdolls are more docile and quiet and you can carry them around all day and they will sit in your lap whenever you want them to. However now that I am divorced and single, I prefer my Siamese cat because she is more active and I need that in my life.

I got a stray kitten who looked like a seal point siamese as a baby complete with the blue crossed eyes. Her coat evolved and she is now a "tortie point". So cute and so ornery.

Great video! I just adopted my pretty little girl. She used to be stray kitten, even when took her back from the shelter (2-month old) I even didn't notice she is a Siamese. Right now (3.5-month old) she has beautiful orangish tabby tail, creamish gloves and golden ears. She is very smart and clingy. Thanks for the video that reminds me how rare she is! ❤

My daughters are fostering a dog that is recovering from being hit by a car. We thought it was a Pittie, but the surgeon said it’s likely a mix. I looked online because it’s lanky for a pitbull. I think the super friendly pup may be a Great Dane/Bull. He sure can eat!

I got a Siberian Forester through adopt a pet. They said he was a lynx point siamese but I found out quickly he wasn't. I never heard of the Siberian Forester. I had to post it on Facebook to see get feedback. He's definitely a Siberain Forester. They call them the dogs of the cat world. He acts a lot like a dog. He even goes to the front door when the door bell rings...I love him. He's not a calico but I'm bringing one home on Thursday and think they will get along great.
