Do you have the names and sizes/measurements of the things you used (foam tape, felt/fabric tape, etc)? Like how thick is that foam tape you used? I'm in the US so not gonna gonna ask for specific links but trying to find foam tape that is not too thick.

The seal along the bottom of the door doesn't touch the door frame on the kit I installed on my Y. Check yours by placing a 1-2 inch piece of paper between the lower seal and door frame and closing the door. My paper would just fall out no resistance.

Legally the burden to prove the modification caused a warrantied failure is on the manufacturer. But, manufacturers also know it will cost the consumer more in legal fees to prove it then it would cost to fix it. So typically a manufacturer will just deny a warranty based on a mod and unless it's blatantly obvious or a very expensive fix, the owner will just accept the denial. You can fight it, but if it's a part that costs $200 to fix, why pay $2,000 in legal fees to fight it? . You can go ahead and take the risk. After all, what are the chances for Tesla to find out , it's hidden right...

I have been using this in home audio and in automobiles for quite some time. I have found that products similar to this, including name brand products help to reduce piece from rattling and it makes the exterior panels more dense, and perhaps some noise reduction from coming into the car, but I haven't found it to be effective in reducing tire noise. I haven't placed it in my Model Y yet, but for my previous cars, IS350 and Acura RDX, I didn't find it effective for reducing road noise but more rattles. It does help your doors shut more solid, like an expsive sedan. This material did improve my sound systems (better bass) and reduced rattles from my after market JL Audio subwoofers in my previous vehicles. You did a GREAT job but to really reduce road noise , you will also need to apply mass loaded vinyl. You put in a lot of work, so kudos to you. I am curious that since Teslas do not have ICE engines under the hood, how much noise reduction can be expected even if mass loaded vinyl is used in the funk area. You "may" get a slightly better bang for the buck if this is used under the wheel wells. By the way, this was my experience in my past two vehicles. My RDX was a but noisy so I pretty much gutted the interior and got little noise reduction in using a similar product.

There are little black risers in the trunk that can be adjusted (twisted) higher so there is less pressure. Also the latch on the bumper can be lowered too. Note if you adjust the risers too high, you have a potential of leaks and the trunk gap will be more pronounced. This will how ever reduce the pressure from the hatch bouncing around when you hit a bump. Hope this helps

@@noyb9284 overall road noise decreased by 40-50%, bump and booming noise from back reduced 30 - 40%, its varies by surface and speed, at low speed 50 to 80 KMH it has big improvement. I still hear some cracking and squeezing on rough surface but agin it drastically reduced on low speed and smooth surface. after the treatment I compare mine with demo Model Y with 19" rims and 1.5k odometer and surprisingly mine was 40-50% quieter
