I don't really comment on many posts, but I really like this playlist. My boyfriend [now ex] has been my best friend for the past three years after I moved out of an abusive home. We started dating in late January and broke up two days before school let out, on June 1st. Not for long, I know, but I really loved him. I had loved him very much before but never had the courage to ask him for fear of losing my best friend. When I finally asked him, "Are we just friends?" He said that wasn't necessary and we made it official. They were the best months of my life after that. When I kissed him for the first time I had never felt more peace, more emotion and love. I wasn't exactly antisocial, but I had no friends besides him and another couple we knew. but one day, this day. I dragged him out of class because he left me alone while he was reading and ignored me. I cried and asked him what I did, what I could do to make it better, and how I could fix it in the future. After I apologized for what felt like the hundredth time, he finally turned to me and said we were done. I sat in stunned silence and stared at him before asking him why. He didn't give me a reason. He got up and went inside to get his bag and left when the doorbell rang. I remember writing him notes every day, usually several a day, and handing them to him in the hallway. and I'm an artist so I drew us all the time and even painted a few times to give to him. I'm still wondering what I did wrong honestly. I often ask his friends if he misses me, if he even liked me. and they always say they don't know or can't tell. I have a feeling I'll spend the rest of my life thinking and begging for answers. I feel so stuck. I apologize for binging on this random playlist, but I assume my friends are tired of listening to me rant over and over again about a boy who never had the courage to explain why he wanted me has left. I hope everyone reading this has a great year and I hope you all find someone who loves and appreciates you. Remember this.
