I was able to recreate the pixel’s version of 3D scan with the strobe technique but… I’m so fascinated by the iphone’s method.! They are definitely doing some computation to extract the dots outta the image somehow…

Night vision. My Yi Home camera picks up iPhone flashing (as if it's taking pictures) in addition to this light. But with the lights on, neither are visible 😮

In this example it's about a meter down, depending on your LiDAR equipment you can reach deeper into areas it's hard to get to.

This is really cool! What hardware do you work with to scan the manhole? Where can find more info about your app that converts video to 3D?
Just a regular 360 commercial camera. The 360 video is converted into a 3D model through photogrammetry and then assigned to a GIS object.

Yes, it is scalable. There is no upper limit. Can you elaborate on the lat/long question?
