How is it that PSW is so pervasive in California, when you have people as knowledgeable as Fletcher talking directly to state stakeholders about how problematic it is for SLD ID ? It's rather mind blowing.
I am trying to reach Dr. Fletcher for assistance applying for extended time for my son who he evaluated. Is there any contact info that can be shared?

What happens when a student doesn't have literacy in their 1st language? Would I still teach them in a structured literacy pattern?

With our current post Covid students, this emphasis on the foundational awareness and skills of phonemic awareness and phonics seems imperative to assisting our struggling readers. Thank you for this conversation.

Is this recommended for middle and high school students? I find this type of literacy activities are done in elementary. What would be some suggestions for older students?
