I used skirt pattern to convert to pants because pants pattern is made by drafting due to crotch and I think it is easy to convert from skirt and more understandable the body shape. Yes. Work for any body shape. This method of pattern making is called draping and basically it's created to make our clothing using dress form, fabric, pins,etc. I try to explain the steps as similar as possible. Paper can be used instead of woven fabric but not for knit fabric. If you have any questions, let me know:-)
