I cried when I saw him perform this live. The show was at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago in the early 90's, Cranberries were the opener. One of two times I have seen him live. No other artist's music has touched my soul like his. I haven't listened to Dusk in a while. As others have noted, a vastly underrated album from a vastly underrated genius.

I bought this CD after about the two hundredth time as I passed over in the used CD section of buddy CD shop. It's cover always repulsed me . I asked what was up with this THE THE CD. And from the word of my buddy this CD has been a go to sound it never lets me down . In fact it's vocals the rawness of the recording and a bunch more characteristics this is an exception collection of tunes every body needs to at least listen to once

How do I know you're my brother? As soon as the last note fades away, you hear the snare drum from "Lonely Planet" in your head.

Nothing less than brilliant. A masterpiece. I had the chance to -briefly- talk to Matt Johnson back in the 90s. A charming and shy person with so much talent. As a famous poet once said "what comes from the heart, goes to the heart". This song really does that, deep !

have this album on vinyl lp for nearly 25 years...a gem in my collection... have the album on cd as well and listened to it during a long car trip for work today....first time I really noticed the alarm sirens during the intro....such great atmosphere this album... this is one of those albums that once you truly listen to it...maybe you dont play it too often but one day there will be a tune in your head and it will be a song from this album
