A Sneak preview of the layout and what's to come!!!!
I think I can see you
There were certainly some lovely layouts there by the looks of it. I'll bet you had a good day there. Thank you for sharing....cheers, James 🙂👍
Thank’s for sharing. 😃👍
Great view !
Hi, Only just come across your channel. A lovely layout you got there in build. Looking forward to see how it develops.
Thanks for the lovely comments, yeah it's only small but very compact and will be highly detailed, so watch this space 😁
Nice set up! Looking forward to updates.
Looking really good. Could you possibly tell me the make of the pine trees you are using please, as you say they look very realistic. Also what brand are the buffer stops? Keep up the good work 👍👍
www.themodeltreeshop.co.uk/ This is the company I got the trees from. And this is where I got the buffer stops from www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204731312801?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=cidr6onxs4q&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=9TwmpoRmQji&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
@@GlenmarochLane thanks very much 👍
Hi, excellent update and explanations are perfect. 😃👍
looking excellent pal make sure you keep those ballast shoulders neat haha. I love that cottage is it pre built or a kit
The cottage is a resin built one mate. Thanks for the comment
@@GlenmarochLane it looks good, no worries pal
A great update, the layout is coming along nicely. We're looking forward to seeing your progress... Cheers James 🙂👍
Very interesting how you have progressed from the start of the project with great explanation! Linda ~ Loweville Junction Railroad 🚂
Thankyou for your lovely comment, they'll be more content soon, as a lot more has been done since then, so stay tuned 😁
@@GlenmarochLane for sure!
Just subed wonderful work looking forward to seeing more Colin from Mossend railway oo
Super job!!!!!!!!!!!!😊
Thank you! 😃
Lots of progress going on. Having a plan is a good idea. Could you tell me where you got those magnetic connectors please? They look just the job for a building I have.

Thank you for this update, very enjoyable and fascinating to see the progress you are making and what the plan is next.
@@duncanrhodes4778 Hi Duncan, glad you're enjoying the updates, and the progress we're making. Really appreciate you taking time to watch it. Many thanks 👍
What make is the Brewery building?
The distillery building is a Modulux kit with added extensions 😁
@@GlenmarochLane thank you
Hello, a very interesting video as usual. I like the presentation of your work, and Scotland 🏴 railways is my best interest too. 😃👍
Hi, glad you're enjoying the updates, really appreciate you taking time to watch them. Many more episodes to come, so stay tuned, and if you could be so kind to let others know about this channel, we'd be so grateful 🙂 Many thanks again 😁
Nice idea
Thanks a lot 😁
The layout is really coming along nicely. I just watched this and some of your other videos with my grandson(12). He likes your layout. He's just started to build a 009 layout, which he's filming for his Dylington Model Railway channel. He's also filming our little model railway Dylington. He's not doing a bad job of filming it and has recently started to add stop-motion animation to the videos. They are great fun to create with him, have a look, and see what you think. There's plenty of rule one used. Anyway, he's subscribed to your channel ... Cheers James 🙂👍
Wow that's awesome, we'll check that out and subscribe too, many thanks for subscribing here too 😊
@GlenmarochLane you're welcome, I hope you enjoy our Dylington nonsense. Let me know what you think to his channel, and thank you for subscribing....cheers James 🙂👍
Ok I got to know. Where you are standing between wall and layout. Is that the corner or does it go the full length of the layout? How wide is it?
If you watch the first episode, it explains how big the layout is...... It's basically a L shaped layout which is end to end 😊
@@GlenmarochLane ok I’m just getting claustrophobic
Looking good. Just subscribed so I can see the layout evolve!
Thanks for subscribing and your comment, stay tuned also for the 2nd part of the little build, should be uploaded very soon 😊
I like the idea of having an old disused bridge. Good looking station plan. Very tight little TMD might not warrant hard standing on the siding. Reminds me of a Heritage line with everything tucked into one space. It looks like you have made good use of a very small space.
Thanks George, the hard standing will only be in the shed and poking out the front a little, the side of the shed will be ballasted, but many thanks for your comment, much appreciated 🙂
When you want a model railway you make do with what ever space you have. Its going to be a good one and I'm looking forward to following your progress.
Thankyou for your brilliant comment and thanks for watching
Hello, i have subscribed. 😃👍
Thanks for subbing, really appreciate it 😀
Just Sub'd this is a cracking layout in a well worked space, lots to do and the progress looks great, always nice to see some scot rail running :-) keep up the good work
Thankyou for your lovely comment, really appreciate it 😊
Great video and I love what you have done so far. Look forward to more. Bernie from NZ
Thanks Bernie, it's great to have people viewing from across the water, many thanks for taking the time to watch the video, much appreciated 🙂
You have made some excellent progress. Where did you get your personalised shirt from, please? Also, those wonderful photos? I look forward to watching your next video.

This is where I got the prints from too www.stuartblack.com/category/0/1/locamotive+prints/
Great layout, I have something similar in my loft in 0 gauge called Strathinver. Thanks for sharing your ideas, by the way can you tell me where you sourced your polo shirt from.
I got it from here, I made the design and sent it to them www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144353453269?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=4-y2_KeyQhW&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=9TwmpoRmQji&var=443668699936&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Thanks.
Super. Hello from the Tracy Mountain Railway in Colorado. 💙 T.E.N.
Excellent work and great job on this project, enjoy your time and keep up the great work,,thanks for sharing..😊😊
Interesting choice of made-up name, Glenmaroch. Need to get a Scot to voice the video intros :) Nice hearing the wee bit thrash coming out from the locos too.
Great explanation. What is the thickness of the cork?
It's 4mm thick, which was purchased from Screwfix

Watching with anticipation…looking forward to seeing the progress. That weathered 26 looks brilliant
Just liked and subscribed as I am trying to do a layout in the same era in Scotland. Looking forward to future updates! Can I ask where you got your wall sign from?
www.ebay.co.uk/usr/crw1976
Thank you Andy. I just had a look and it seems to be loco replicas. Just to double check, is this where you purchased the Glenmaroch sign?
Just liked and subscribed, looks very interesting loving the Scottish theme. What are the dimensions of the layout?
@@stephenhorsley6800 yes mate, you can get him to design you whatever you want, hence why mine is not a replica, so put to him what you want doing and I'm sure he'll do it for you
@@GlenmarochLane thank you so much it looks amazing so I will definitely be purchasing one
Nice one Andy 👍👍
Exciting stuff Andy - can't wait. I have no plans to start a layout of my own right now but just love the hobby, the memories of times spent with my Dad and railways in general. Wanted to ask if you minded me picking your brains a little in the future. Looking for tips on getting my RUclips videos & shorts more professional and slicker. I'd like to include better music and/or soundtracks. Also "pop-ups", "link cards" and anything to help encourage feedback, interaction from viewers and of course the Holy Grail of better Metrics. Let me know if you mind and if so how best to get in touch ???? Hope to hear from you soon - Dave 👍🏻
Hi Andy. Bernie from NZ. Just subscribed. I am doing a micro layout build series. Check it out. I don't have the money for all the wonderful DCC concepts gadgets. Regards Bernie
Hi Bernie, thanks for subscribing, I'll check yours out too and subscribe, many thanks again Andy
Hello, Looking good, Sub' so I can follow your progress, Karl and Debbie.
Thankyou so much for checking out the video and subscribing, watch out for future videos Take care Andy
Hi Andy. I look forward to watching your progress. I'll subscribe to your channel as we all need those. I've started to upload videos recently.

Hi Andy all the best with your build. I'm looking forward to seeing some operations and how you get on. All the best, kevin.
Thank you Kevin, it's certainly progressing rather quickly, thanks for watching the video

Enjoyed Ep1 Andy. At this very early stage my ONLY question relates to your choice of fixing for your track. The rather large round dome-head screws seem very "out of scale". They're bright alloy which makes them stand out even more. Are these eventually going to come out and a more "discreet" fixing used. I know my Dad (rest his soul) used dark grey very small panel pins. This meant when my Mum "ballasted" the track that the fixings were virtually "invisible". I know this is only a small point but I've watched both your Glenmaroch Lane videos and on both occasions the fixings "jumped" out at me. I hope you'll take this as "positive" honest feedback. Looking forward to more Content and your progress with this great compact layout. I think the design and execution so far has been first class. Well done and all the very best from @dave1966red. Checkout my parent's layout here; ruclips.net/video/Dt72QXJO6xQ/видео.htmlsi=KAyqcdKJCB-2M6D5
Hi Dave, yes, those screws will be removed, once all the track is running perfectly, we'll be testing it for a little while before scenery begins, so yes they are temporary and will be replaced with pins, sorry I should have said that in the video. Many thanks for watching and commenting. Take care Andy
On another note, there is another video coming out next week focusing on the actual build where all will be revealed about how the track and cables are being done along with the boards and buildings. 😎
This just popped up on my feed. Looks really interesting, so obviously I have subscribed. I am at the beginnings of creating a layout myself, initially starting with track and stock which was last used about 40 years ago. Having fun learning and converting DC locos to DCC. I am a little way behind you, so will follow your channel closely for ideas. Cheers.
Brilliant pal👍👍😊
