I think the worst thing about that field is how beautiful it looks. Without the context it’s just a lovely field of pretty blue alien flowers but the fact that’s it’s basically a symbolic graveyard takes all the beauty away. I know I'm late, but I'd like to share my opinion. You're critique on NerdsFeed's video is quite in depth and makes very good points. Though I have to agree with NerdsFeed on one thing. Such young children shouldn't be exposed to gender politics and sexuality. The show is rated for 7 and up but we can all agree that there are most definitely much younger children watching. It isn't good to introduce them to concepts about self discovery quite a bit before they even start their own journey of self discovery. Like that clip of Blues Clues. If I'm not mistaken that character up front is a Drag Queen, please correct me if I'm wrong. Drag Queens absolutely should not be in any kids media. Sure that depiction is quite kid-friendly, but Drag Queens are mostly very sexualized. Anything sexualized at all should not be introduced to young children. Especially the target demographic of Blues Clues. I'm not saying we shouldn't teach children about these things, just not so young when they have no idea about themselves or self discovery. When they're old enough to begin understanding these things there is absolutely no problem with teaching them about them.

I'm an autistic bisexual with a younger sibling who's transgender and an older sibling who's nonbinary and pansexual, and when I see a queer character in one of my favorite shows, I can't help but smile in delight at the acceptance people have. When I watch Earthspark, I see a lot of myself in the character Jawbreaker, the Dinobot Terran. Someone who gets flustered under pressure, has trouble standing up for himself, and worries easily? I can just smile and think to myself, "Hey, that was me at one point." But I do love all of the Terrans, especially Nightshade and Jawbreaker.

Ah yes. In your eyes he’s transphobic but he never said anything once about hating trans people. It shouldn’t be in a kids show. You’re a great example of not knowing when’s the time and place. It’s not about being trans. It’s about pushing an agenda to children. If you sat a kid down in front of earthspark and they found out one of the transformers they love is “they/them” it could cause them confusion and wanting to mimic that. There isn’t anything wrong with trans people. But kids shouldn’t be thinking about that at all. If you wanna do it as an adult that’s fine. But don’t get children to think about a life altering decision of switching or transitioning their gender when they can’t fully comprehend it yet.

I really don't care about controversy of this show but soundwave and starscream are amazing in this show and I love soundwave design and it took both Meg's and op and arcee to take him down guess it's a little tribute to his gladiator story where it's said he's second most powerful only next to Megatron and all decepticons are likable in a sympathetic way

No such thing as "transphobia"

To be honest I didn’t like earthspark because of the voices, the voice for Optimus didn’t fit him at all, and making Megatron a good guy wasn’t right for this show; I wanted to see Megatron and Prime Fight each other again, in the tf prime Show them working together actually worked because they had a reason to and that was to take down an enemy, and I didn’t like the animation for the characters or the faces of the transformers at all, I could careless about the pronouns stuff, that happened once in this show and it never came up again, and the toy line for earthspark was so cheap and bad, transformers one has a better toy line and a Better looking animation, story and actors for the characters, and TF ONE has no humans and It’s based on cybertron, something fans like myself wanted, as for the decepticons being good guys now was weird and to be honest, for this show it works

Hi. I saw this video a while back and came back to it. I just wanted to say, for the review part: great video, great arguments, and great defense for it. I watched EarthSpark and thought that it was okay and different (mostly because, besides the movies, it was the only Transformers show I watched besides Prime). But it was good enough, though I just stopped watching because I found other shows. But I just want to give a nickel for my thoughts and opinion on the transphobic part of the video. And sorry if I sound hateful or mad; that is not my intention. Please give it a full read and feel free to reply or comment on it. So let's get started: So, on to the part where you say that "queer people" and "people of all identities exist." That is true, but something existing doesn't inherently make it right. Now, when it comes to representation in the media, I don't even mind it myself. I mean, I first saw it in Batman: Bad Blood and just... nothing really. One of my favorite shows is The Owl House because of its world, characters, and plot. The representation never really mattered because it was kind of just a C plot in the larger story. But as a Christian, what I really have a problem with is when they make it out to be something good-something that is harmless and won't lead to anything in the long run-which is wrong. Although the LGBTQ community preaches love and acceptance, it very rarely shows it to those with different opinions, or at least from what I've seen anyway. But let me get something out of the way: those who say you're going to hell or are yelling at you and claiming to be Christians aren't. And if they live a horrible life, they will be judged even more harshly. Christians won't yell at you, they won't curse you out; they will talk to you. As the saying goes: "Hate the sin, not the sinner." And persecution isn't right by any means. And I don't mean to downgrade that struggle. All different people across the world are being persecuted and beaten. That's not fair; that's not right. But seek help for that, and if you can't, pray, and help will find you. God doesn't want the sinner to be hated, just the sin. Love is love, correct, but some love isn't unconditional. And what most preach isn't love; it's lust. LGBTQ as a community shouldn't be persecuted, but it shouldn't be looked up to, because in the end, they celebrate sin and turning away from God. And that, no matter which way you slice it, only leads to one thing... Eternal Damnation. And that in itself shouldn't be laughed at, mocked, or taken lightly, because in the end, it is where those who choose a life of pride and away from God go.

I have a headcanon for how cybertronians choose there names. Before the war they had regular cybertronian names. But after eons of civil war, war names became ingrained into there culture that their war names became there real names.

I always like fighting Ridley in Super Metroid as he was a strong and vicious boss, aggressive and could dish out the damage and take it. He was also a standout among the main bosses in several ways. The first boss you fight and escapes with the metroid, then you have fight him again, also the Golden statue, he sits atop the others as if to show him as better and above them. He also has that secondary area of Norfair with its intense foreboding music, you knew that the real battle with Ridley was imminent. I always imagined him as an especially vicious monster and I'm so glad to see a manga of Metroid that does him justice. Not only is he a horrific monster but his connection with Samus makes him a particularly cruel villain for her. he isn't just evil, he is a completely sadistic monster who lives specifically to hurt others make them suffer, that is his reason for living, there is no plan, just make people suffer and watching the agony on their faces gives him joy. What an amazingly evil character!

Considering how much Samus speaks in Other M, it probably would have helped to have her shout something like "WHY WON'T YOU JUST STAY DEAD!?" while she's snapping out of her fear of him. For those who don't know, it becomes more of disbelief, or freaking out about the thing that just will not stop showing up, even though she thought she was past it. For those who know, it becomes a desperate scream for her to be able to finally move past something horrible and personal that SHOULD have been done and over with.

There is a single frame in the manga where Ridley looks like he regrets what happened, but blows it off.
