I have a PhD in Sociology from York University in Toronto, Canada. I am part of the Indian diaspora. Both of my parents were International students in Toronto, Canada, where I was born and raised. I completed Post-Doctoral Studies in the Department of International Politics at the Open University in London, UK. I am an Adjunct Lecturer. I have also been a Visiting Fellow at Birkbeck College and The London School of Economics and Political Science in London, UK, and a Lecturer at Srishti Institute of Art, Design, and Technology in Bangalore, India and a Visiting Professor at Ambedkar University in New Delhi, India. I also studied fine art in London, UK and I have exhibited artistic work internationally and I have been an artist in residence. I have written two books about feminist theory, art, and politics. My research looks at Marxist and Neo-Marxist theories such as Feminist Theory, Critical `Race' Theory, Disability Studies. I am currently a reader of ethics and legal theory.
