I arrived just as the Holy Mass was starting in French! Memorare Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Inca...

Is this safe what about fumes?
Completely safe. I have a smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in my van. Also I have the sliding door or windows open and a clip on fan that blows any fumes outside.
Cheers 👍
I had to subscribe so I can learn how you did your bed because I want a futon type bed like yours that I can retract and take down and then I was also thinking about shelving on each side of the futon bed like yours so I was very interested in grateful to your videos and I look forward to more as I am still sleeping on the floor of my Chrysler Pacifica also what kind of vehicle is yours
@@tinadaniels401 it's a dodge grand caravan. Good luck! 😀
👍👍👍
dit zijn Twentse grijze hoenders uit nederland mooi dat ze ook in spanje lopen he.
I know this video is 2 years old so I don’t know that you’ll see this. I’ve heard that Velcro won’t hold up to the summer heat. How has yours held up?
@@lorihamlin3604 Hello! Mine is doing fine. About 5 inches on the end of one piece came off. But overall it has stuck. I think it also depends on the brand of velcro. Im very happy with it.
@@OnTheRoadwithBarbaraJo17 thx😊
Do you have a video to show the bed frame without mattress.. so we can see build?

Gogo bubbajo!
Finally constructing the bed. Only thing i need to get now is a bolt. NO idea how big or what to get. Any advice?
I used a lag bolt. I think a 1/2 inch, 4 to 5 inches in length. I'll send a picture.

Do you have a guide how to build it?
drive.google.com/file/d/1dkOCnkykwFKV8yLNu8qtyoTembEvl9EM/view
The link I just sent you has the instructions.
@@OnTheRoadwithBarbaraJo17 I can't understand it as I'm using cm not inches. I prefer video guide:)
@@CLATYRhe I'm sorry I can't help you with a video. I built it with those instructions. If you print it out, you can use Google for a inches to cm conversion and write in place of the inches. I am not a carpenter, and I was able tp build this with these instructions. Just google as you go on how to do each step and go slow. Good luck
Nice picture with the Basilica in the background.
Glad you like it
Well done on your bed. What thickness ply did you use for the platform?
I think it was 1 inch. It was good wood.
I just measured. Its 1/2 inch. Sorry I just got home from vacation.

If you buy that your gonna have to leave a rock behind lol
What are you eating where are you,how was the journey from x to y,are you tired?psss
Baguettes and cheese are always in my pack. Bananas, nuts, olives, cookies and a cafe cortado twice daily. I am 4 days from Santiago. The journey is difficult and amazing! I am not tired at all! I trained for 6 months prior, walking 3 to 6 miles 5 days a week with a 5lb backpack.
Not at all. It's not in God's plan. Sorry
Rest day. Also nice. Thanks for the updates Barbara !
Nice video. Looks like a quaint village.
Great video, greetings from Spain!
Thank you very much!
Amazing solution, avoid humidities risks in the van and very efficient. 👏👏👏👏👏
Nice landscapes. Seems like a great journey.
Rain, rain, go away, let me walk dry today.
That looks so cool!!
Hi Barbara ! Happy to see you in Europe. I'll be following you along. Love it ! Cheers from Belgium.
Thank you!
The English mass is at 7-730 am and the English rosary at 3 pm at the grotto .
Thank you.
This morning at 7am, I was at the French mass in the crypt, it was beautiful.
Nice hotel. Hope your official start goes well.
Can you buy just the tub? The shower looks great, but I’m a cheapskate, I have heated water, poured it into a five gallon bucket, then taken a big sponge used for car washing, and showered that way, when my RV was winterized
Yes you can, the link is in the description below. Also I have a cheap rechargeable shower pump you can also buy off amazon that you can put in a bucket of warm water to shower. Definitely worth it. I hope that answers your question. Have a great day. 😊
Keep an eye on weather forecast and add your rain gear to day pack if needed. Have a good time.
Will do. I think I have everything covered! Thank you
I used to hike in mine barefooted up mountains 3 miles. Tevas are awesome. Try the xlt model of teva sandals
Thank you very much for your tip! I am so excited to start this pilgrimage!
There are soooo many colors and models of the xlt, lot of new brighter and feminine colors for the ladies out there. When you strap them on and make it to the summit, your feet will thank you... Plus the XLT is a very durable sandal that will last you years... When you need traction they're good, but they can also be worn when you stand in a nice refreshing stream. XLT is the technical hiker almost before you have to strap on Alp model for climbing. @@OnTheRoadwithBarbaraJo17
That is very cool, do you think it is a good product after using several times? The time it takes to set up and empty it? I would be interested in a system like this.
I do think it's worth it, if your going to be out for days and not near a shower. I was in Yellowstone for a week and the showers were closed down because of covid. After 4 days of sponge baths a hot shower is amazing! For me, it's just having an option if the gym is not accessible. I hope that answered your question.
@@OnTheRoadwithBarbaraJo17 Yes it did. Thank you so much. Ive been getting myself ready to hit the road, and now researching solar and showers, and this is the best Ive seen. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing. Worth knowing 😊
Now tip your grey water away. Where? Now dry your shower enclosure. Now get some more water. Refills? Or just get a strip wash or find a campground every few days. Or join a gym!!
I know! Alot of work just to have a shower. I used planet fitness, which was amazing! I created this because during 2021 I was in Yellowstone on my first 2 week solo female travels. Because of covid the showers in the park were closed. I drove an hour just to get a shower. I did go to the lodge and pay for a shower there. I think it was $9. Anyhow, this is the reason to have this in my build.
2.5 gallons is not alot of water. I set my shower outside the van to dry. I have a 5 gal collapsible bucket. I only used 2.5 gallons for a 5 min shower. My kitchen fresh water tank has 7 gallons. In the trunk I have another 5 gallons. After 7 days in Yellowstone national park. I never had to find water, it was always available. BUT I totally agree with you! Getting out of the van to take a shower is heavenly. Thank you for all your bullet points. I wish I was more clear on certain things, I try to make real short videos just to give others ideas! Again thank you!
@@OnTheRoadwithBarbaraJo17,just watched the video again. I thought I was missing something and I was! Recycling the water. Put the collapsible water container outside on the ground with the pump. Then drain from your shower enclosure back into the water container. Benefits: you would use must less water - maybe manage on a gallon? Your husband could follow you in! As you shower the drained water would be warm meaning you would use less gas (if the unit is thermostatically controlled) Only potential issue is if the soapy water would eventually contaminate/clog up the power unit - you would need to check with the manufacturer.
@@jamesbrook16 that's a great idea! Thank you!
@@OnTheRoadwithBarbaraJo17, just check with the manufacturer that you can use slightly soapy water?
The Best shower I’ve seen for a minivan was a Large Storage bin and watering can.
This is brilliant! And so simple! I’m gonna use that idea. Thank you!!!
Love it!🥰👍🚿
Thank you!
"Thanks for watching" you take a shower. No problem. LOL Nice video, well demonstrated.
Nice set up for a mini van.
Thank you! 😊 I'm happy with it.
Just found your channel (shower video in my feed) This was so well done! The way you looked at the 'other person' convinced me at first you had a twin. 😂 I subbed.
😊thank you!
Worried about mold
Why
It's not a hot steamy shower, and you ventilate with a fan. I have 2 usb rechargeable fans. Always wipe things down after using the collapsible tub. I also made sure it did not splash outside of the tub.
Sorry I keep thinking of things. When I collapsed the tub out of the van I wiped it down and let the sun dry it out. Every scenario will be different, and adjust how you take the shower accordingly to your environment. 🙄
I have a similar tub made out of plastic And I shower at night and then dump my water and just put my tub outside of my van and let it dry overnight LOL and then put it away in the morning
How cool ❤
Thank you! I was happy with how it turned out!
How warm
@@dans9463 it was actually nicely warm. We also used this in our home for a week while our hot water tank was being repaired. We filled our tub with water and the pump hose was long enough to reach the shower stall
@OnTheRoadwithBarbaraJo17 Oops Thank you for elaborating.. I was actually using dry (wet?) humor, responding to one saying, How Cool 😎
Looks heavenly.
It was! Thank you for the nice comment
This is the best demonstration so far thanks for your hard work.🫡
Your welcome! ❤️
Any issues with scalding hot water for the first few seconds if the pump pressure drops?
Once the water was warm, which was immediate. It stayed warm. The water ran through device and heated it. Last year our furnace failed We brought the device in our home and filled the tub with water and had a hot shower for a week. It was a life saver.
It never was scalding hot. The water that was pulled through the device from the bucket was cold
love a good poncho. :)
🥰
Go-go Bubba Jo!!
Lol! You make me smile!
lovely :)
Thank you
Thanks so sweet Sister okay 👍
Thank you
Fantastic needed to know you walk
Thank you
Looks like you need to be able to kneel.
I had a plastic folding stool, it worked perfectly. I don't think I could travel in my van if I was tall.
You look great! How much was your umbrella and where did you find the attachments?
Who Knew! Great idea and really appreciate the live demo!
Thank you
