The Buena Vista area is so beautiful. ❤
It really is, and the riding is fun in that area too. We somehow seem to end up there at some point on our trips. 😀
Love your vids! Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much!
Thanks for sharing your trip.It was beautiful.Watch the whole thing what a beautiful vacation and great riding by the way Thanks again. Have a great New Year.
It was an amazing adventure!
Thank you SO much for sharing these from your BDR trip. I can't get enough of this scenery, especially the kodachrome skies.
The scenery was absolutely incredible, and the skies were stunning.
The COBDR was awesome except we managed to catch a horribly soggy time. Basically, everything after Lake City was a disaster. Road closures, pass closures, and communicator failures. Had to detour to Montrose to get a new mic and from there was just a horrible downpour the whole way to Telluride and off and on rain to Dolores. Don't think I was happier to see the sun and the city of Durango
The rain can definitely add to the adventure! I've ridden thousands of miles in it on the road, but rain while riding the dirt is a very different story! I've certainly learned a lot from that on other trips.
Highly suggest riding the full WY BDR if you get the oppurtunity. Awesome seeing other riders out there enjoying it too. My favorite part might have been the Fire Lookout - we had it all to ourselves for lunch and luckily it wasn't windy. For anyone riding in wind, I've found that using your leg as a sail can really help, especially on lighter bikes. Just finished rebuilding a bike for my dad, so hoping to do this ride with him soon!
I hope to do the full WYBDR at some point. The wide open spaces there were so beautiful. Hope you can get out on that trip with your dad, creating memories is so special.
@@adventurewithjoanna8959 Thanks it should be a lot of fun and good luck and ride safe there is a lot of beautiful riding out there!
Don't know how you popped up on my feed, but here I am enjoying. Have fun!!
It was an incredible trip!
Outstanding footage!
By the way….Hey we’ve got another one of our own in need. Don’t know if you’re sub’d with Itchymoche n Vee….. great brother, long time biker, been giving us great content along time, great stories to share. Check out his latest video. His wife’s really been battling brain cancer. Thanks Joanna
I'll be sure to check it out. Thanks so much for sharing.
That looks so amazing! What an adventure.
It was an incredible trip. Such a cool way to explore!
Very cool, Joanna!
Thanks so much!
I live in billings and I find myself going up to beartooth outlook many times thru out the summer. It's an awesome get away from the city ride.
What an adventure you two have had on two wheels. Kudos! I love the Natchez Trace but others hate it because they can't just cruise along and enjoy it. They just want to get from point A to B as fast as they can. The Blue Ridge Parkway is an amazing road as well. I got a little vertigo at some spots. Put the Arkansas Ozarks on your list. The roads were made for Harleys. If you can ever make it to the Twisted Sisters and Big Bend National Park in Texas, it's unique. Ride Safe.
Yes, it was a great ride. It was nice to have the time to soak it all in and enjoy the road and the scenery. Although some days were longer than we expected 😊. Thanks so much for the tips on other places to check out! Ride safe.
Fantastic first video! Loved the scenery, bison, and the way you slow the video down so we can read the road signs. Would’ve loved to hear your thoughts while on the road here and there instead of all music but the music choice was great. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and thanks so much for the feedback! I've been playing with being on camera more to share my experiences and plan to include on future videos. We'll see how it goes! Thanks again!
The Blue Ridge is beautiful except dodging deer in the early morning ..lol
Really good stuff! Hey are you linked up with Amsoil Adam here?! He’s a great brother in our riding community, he sets up at all the rallies.
Glad you enjoyed it! I'll have to check out Amsoil Adam's page!
Totally agree. Took a very similar trip in 2012. 8 states, almost 240 miles. If possible the very best way to see this is by two wheels
Beartooth is still just as awe inspiring as when I rode it. Made a good friend in Red Lodge (Bob Roberts, he had BMW parts we needed). Stayed in Cook City just so we could ride the Beartooth multiple times. Lots of wildlife to watch for.
It is incredibly beautiful and we try to find ways to include in our trips when we can! It never disappoints. Always good to have a contact for parts 🙂. And yes, lots of wildlife to see...and be ready for!
Beautiful journey! Thank you for recording and sharing this. The variety in scenery, and the expanse of it all, is pretty breathtaking. I was wondering if it would make it too cluttered, if you were to add a caption here and there, like text up in the clear blue sky portion of a few-second shot, to just mention what highway you were on, or what town or landmark you were approaching or driving through. They might be faded in then faded out so as to not "slap the viewer in the eyes" with each caption. I'm enjoying the mellow traveling music, too. (Writing this while on my phone, but watching the video using Roku box and RUclips.) Oh!!! Buffalo!!! And a baby bison, too! OK, back to watching... 😀 PS: I made a 20-minute viideo holding a camera in my hand, called "Descent into White Bird" where I drive down a bunch of switchbacks while going sown into that remote little town in Idaho on the Salmon River. For music, I played a mix CD I had handy. I win the "totally amateur videographer" prize with that one, I think! 🤣🤣
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I also really appreciate the feedback. Its great to hear about what would be helpful and I'll be sure to keep the suggestions in mind for the next video!
It really is beautiful areas to ride motorcycles, thank you for sharing your video.
It really is great riding! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for sharing your ride in this video; great music selections too
I'm so happy you enjoyed it!
Great job on the video; my wife and I love riding the Blue Ridge and Skyline Dr. We lived in North Carolina and would routinely ride some or all of it regularly. We have since moved to Florida so it is more of an effort to get there now but we have our trip planned for this summer to ride it again and explore the NC and TN Smoky Mountain area. Ride safe
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! I hope you and your wife have a wonderful trip this summer! It really is a beautiful area.
Great trip...have ŕidden all of that...next try PCH 1...
It was a fantastic trip! PCH 1would be amazing to do one day!
Great trip. Is the 2nd half of September good for a trip like this?
Heading out in the second half of September really depends on the year. We had snow one year when we went over Beartooth Pass in late August. While we could still safely ride the pass, it was definitely chilly! Not sure what the weather would be like that late into September.
2nd half of sept is too late. Likely be in snow and they will close pass on moments notice.
Heading there today was wondering if I could ride through 2021 Thanks for this amazingly beautiful adventure !!!!
Thanks so much! Hope you have a great time. Stay safe!
Just finished watching all four of your videos on your trip, really enjoyed it, great job. If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times, "the only way to see the mountains is on a motorcycle" I ride out to CO and the surrounding states late summer every year, never tire of it. Well done, thanks
Thanks so much! It's such a beautiful part of the country that I find myself regularly coming back to. There truly is nothing like being on the open road on 2 wheels.
So beautiful. One of my bucketlist.
Such a great ride! The scenery is amazing...definitely a special place.
Beartooth is one of the greatest motorcycle roads in usa. I just love seeing it and yellowstone I will be back
It really is a beautiful ride...one that keeps me coming back for more.
WOW, I would have crapped my pants.
It was definitely nerve wracking! But the views were stunning when we got in the air!
Beautiful job, beautiful ride.
Thanks so much! So glad you enjoyed it.
Beartooth Pass on your bike? I don't think so.
I've ridden Beartooth Pass 4 or 5 times. The Street Glide can pose some challenges, it's not a small bike, but I love the twists and turns and i have a lot of fun. It's an awesome road that I find myself continually going back to ride! Thanks for the comment, you must know the road and understand what keeps bringing us back there.
@@adventurewithjoanna8959 Have you ridden Chief Joseph ( hwy 296)? Its on the west side of Beartooth , east of Cooke City? It takes you towards Cody,Wy and is a Must ride on a bike.
how do you like that face shield ?
The face shield works really well for the sun and rain - I have a tinted one and a clear one. It rattles a bit at higher speeds, but putting some foam tape strips on the edges helped with that a lot. Overall I really like it.
Simply beautiful. Great video
Thanks so much. It was breathtaking.
The Harleys must have sounded pretty cool going through the tunnels!
It was great hearing the bikes rumble!
looks like a fun trip. Great job on the video. I look forward to more.
Thanks so much, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I have more editing to do, in time there will be more.
that rain in monument valley looked crazy.
It was so cool seeing the rain storm get closer and closer,,,,,,,until it hit us hard of course. It made monument valley look very surreal.
