i can definitely see where you're coming from, the approach is a lot more relaxed and flowing to fit the aesthetic of the show. it's a shame that the book was watered to hell, but they were playing some NOTES early on. cole and droobers, way to shit on someone for having a public opinion, real classy 🙄
@@mel-px7hl ratio + i am not insulting this person i am just stating that i vehemently disagree with their opinion + BD 15 had that SAUCE + I understand where you're coming from but imo that is genuinely a really bad take

They changed b/c the original system blue carrier was just a bit too similar to the pearl design and system blue was interested in avoiding legal trouble
@Nick does Quad drumming I never mentioned drumming skill. I am talking about knowledge of what goes into composing the music. Those 2 things are different is my point.
@Nick does Quad drumming Honestly, from what I see, it's just a lot of people being disrespectful. But if that's cool with you, then we disagree and move on.
There was another view taken from the stairs mid field that had been posted but has since been removed. Did DCI force that removal? Because that view was much better than this view.
Markiplier's Hero well, obviously someone as enlightened about Drumline as said "Markiplier Hero," would know that quads are fundamental to any drumline, and their sound gives variation between the instruments. Without quads, it would just be low-sounding and same pitch drums. Aren't quads supposed to sound cool??
5 years late lol but BD really values leadership ability and maturity more than plain experience and age. Which is probably why Sean was center in ‘15 and ‘16 even though there were players older than him/aging out those years
Dominick Guerra playing tenors is not about your peripheral view of your hands, you should know where the playing zones are. Also you should be looking at the DM, which in my case while marching, I was looking up.
I see what you're saying, but I actually think it has a lot more to do with the tuning of the drums and the geography than the snares actually not playing together. It sounds grey because those drums are tuned to have a rather deep throaty sound when played in the center, but part of the drawback of that tuning is that anything beyond the center sounds very open and (in my opinion) muddy... especially with snares on.

I really feel this kids survivor or their own standard, what an amazing show everrrrr .....
I don't really like any of the BD drumlines from 2016 through 2018
that doesn't sound like sean clark duts its probably andrew manzaranes
who is the 10 year old girl?
so dirty
Yo my low brass instructor played trombone/bari in this show

So crisp. The tuning of their drums is very unique compared to the other corps. I’m not sure how to describe it
Go team Hawaii! 🤙
rcc 2017 drums?
Somewhat hot take. BD 16 Line > BD 15 Line (Both are pretty badass)
Capppp hahaha
this is possibly one of the worst takes i have ever seen relating to drumline

I wonder why they changed the tuning of their basses from C to D
That quad tuning though 🔥🔥
Im just realizing how many people in this line marched Bloo '14
There were even more that aged out in 2015 that marched bloo 14
I saw a cam on zach’s head

Why is everyone so salty and hateful. Commenting on book like they know how to write for a World Class drumline.
No ❤️

The goal is to look like clones and sound like one loud drummer. Spent many hours doing this with my fellow linemen many moons ago.

Lol the skill of the blue devils drumline has dropped over the years and there book gets easier and easier every year

The quads this year just sound gross. I don't know why they tuned them so high, but I don't like it.
Anybody know what the warm up that starts at 6:20 is called?

i love BD triplet partial
So much tutti.
How do they decide Center Snare? It seems in BD it's not always based on experience

@@xlea4497 I don't know if you're in battery or not, but the drumline doesn't look at DMs, DM takes tempo from the drumline.

It was the type of buzz roll combos they were doing. Definitely not the cleanest sounding thing but I think it's how it was meant to be
