I will say for people who are interested in shooting in log, it’s not as time-consuming as people think it is when you have a universal lot that your college/professional team uses.

And always nice to get insider info on if some content teams use log or not I personally do I like the coloring aspect and I don’t have as quick of a turn around like the 24 to 48 hour window. I’ll say I hope to see more videos from you about the process of working with these content teams and how you guys go about shooting game days then the post production

Awesome video Pete! I am trying to implement sound design this year into my videos so this video was very helpful! If you edit a video and want to show how you implant SFX it would be very helpful!

I love wooshes, used them a ton last season when I was working in the Pioneer League. Hoping I can use these in the MLB this season if I get the LCC role!

Toughest part I’ve found about using SFX is honestly just remembering to use them or remembering the variety of options. Can be easy to just accept the edit as is and not spend the extra half hour. Just gotta make it a habit of thought

Thanks! This was great! How do you white balance when part of the playing field is shaded, but the other part is very bright? I was shooting a tennis match where part of the court was shaded and the other half was very bright. In post, I was able to correct the shaded part of the court, but the bright unshaded side was blown out. Advice on this type of scenario? Thanks again!

Here's a question...Should you be setting white balance differently with an ND filter on? And then if you took it off, should you adjust then?

Learned to set white balance this year and finally kept the LED screens and boards from defeating me 🙌🏼

I've found going to the custom WB setting and using the button wheel on top of the A7IV makes for a great way to manually adjust white balance whenever needed. Great vid!

Hey, I really want to get into editing for mlb as a career but I don’t know what path to take. I’m a freshman in high school and I’m making edits on CapCut but I want to get to the next level and find my way to a big job in the mlb one day. How did you get to where you are and do you have any tips? (College degrees, things to work on in high school, etc.)

Came back from a trip where I put some lens in the carry on, but some of the connection prohibited me to travel with my carry on because I exceeded 8kg. which is pretty low imo. My Carryon luggage is a light luggage so I presume with a hardcase it would significantly rise the weight

Hey Pete! I love when you break down these big events! Question for you. I want to get a job working for a professional sports team, I currently do free lance and shoot professional games when I get media passes. I have a larger portfolio for photography than videography. I don’t see many postings for photographers but a ton for videography. Is this a common trend ? do teams not hire as many photographers as they do videographers? Just want some insight and tips to breaking into the industry! Thanks !
