My antique wooden dining table circa 1970s (Romania) was stained in places when wax from a candle overflowed onto the surface. The wood is raw and unfinished so stained immediately. In this video, I show my process of cleaning and restoring the table to its former glory, as much as possible.
However, one of the aspects of owning raw, unfinished wood is its accepting that it will be continually affected by changes bought on by the environment. This is part of the beauty of such a material and adds to the heritage of the wood as it moves through time and generations.
