Farmall 806 Engine Start
Просмотров 6025 лет назад
This is a 2nd video of an 806 Farmall engine that I rebuilt twice. The first time was a video I posted in 2016 where I installed new piston rings, rod bearings, water pump, fuel pump rebuild, etc. It never seemed to have much power, so I decided to do what I should have done to begin with. I took the engine back down and pulled the old cylinder sleeves/liners, installed new pistons with rings i...

After doing an inframe rebuild, this was it's first start. I had motored the engine over for about 15 seconds prior to this startup to build up oil pressure.
Did yours come with a battery? My manual mentioned connecting a battery?
No battery on this model.
During the choke & fuel section, you are not clear on directions for each, your hand is covering valve when you turn it, and then your camera person zooms way out so it isn’t clear what you’re doing there.
just set mine up today, didnt put the oil in it yet, will do soon, thank you for video
can that 30 amp outlet take 240 volt at 30 amps? and 60 amps at 120 volt? is this correct?
Damnit I should’ve grabbed my earplugs from the shop just so I could watch the end of this video 😂
hmmm mine didnt have the fuel screen
These videos are what make RUclips great. Thanks! :)
I bought this exact mod yesterday from Lowe’s. It made power for about two minutes and now it won’t even charge my lamp. Any suggestions?
Nice unit. I had an old Coleman Powermate that developed a problem. Generac bought out Coleman. Anyhow, Generac's customer service was sweet. Fixed me up with no questions asked.
I recommend anyone buying a Generac or any generator from Lowes or Home depot to get the warranty. It only cost you and extra $110 and if any problems come up, you just bring back and they will replace with new one
Seriously? They'll simply swap it?
I just bought a6500 one by tit keep tripping what can be wrong
I purchased one this morning from Lowe’s in Kingwood Texas - I am 30 minutes outside of Houston Texas - we have been without power for almost three days & we are expected to be without power for another four days
Same here
Same here and same area. 🙏🙏🙏
Did you have a ground connection
Grabbed on Lowe’s also-Sugarland. I truly lucked up.
I literally just bought mine from the same Lowes in Kingwood
Does it come with oil
Mine did, yes.
Using mine now Hurricane Beryl 🌀 really screwed us over...
So true and does the generator work well and do you know what it works for exactly?
@Armi_k running Refrigerator, TV, freezer and fans and small A/C window unit
👀Looks Like mine.
That thing is super loud.
Using mine right now. DANG Hurricane 😂
What about now?
A lot louder than expected.
After no power for hours, then it sounds really nice! 🤣
At five minutes into the video, you STILL haven't started it so... NEXT video
About 20 gallons.
your video sucks.........get a microphone that works........
These generators are garbage. I had one serviced completely last year, put in fuel stabilizer over the winter, tried to start it and it's dead. this thing continues to frustrate me and fails me. it has about 11 hours of use.
Sorry to hear that. I always turn my fuel off before shutting it down and let the carb run itself out of fuel. As it begins to die I even apply the choke to get as much of the fuel out as possible until it dies out on its own. So far so good.
@weathdl I just put in the fuel stabilizer and octane cleaner and shut the shut off valve, and stored it away for the winter. No way it has gummed up. The fuel line, sparkplug, replaced, and serviced last may. I've had a lawnmower that fires up on the first pull offer 6 months winter. This generator that I paid alot of money for, really frustrating. Maybe the carburetor needs to be recalibrate for fuel, air. Going to take it to another different service center. Cheers
Dang that’s weird. My company uses these exact one in the oil field. We run them non stop 8-10 hours a day putting up wellheads. They run like champs. Even on the coldest days in Wyoming they don’t take more than a couple pulls to get them going.
Thanks for making this we just bought a 806 and this helps
What were you able to run with this generator in your house? Ac?
Do I need to put the wheels and handles on mines
What site are you gonna post it for sale on?
Not sure yet. The owner wanted to get the generator head checked out first to make sure its working right.
I have the same one it got me thru 4 days in a bad ice storm in Michigan before my grid power was restored
Hey. How many gallons of gas did you use in those 4 days of power outtage? Thanks
Makes me wonder if we're from the same neck of the woods. We lost power for 3 1/2 days. It was BRUTAL. By the time power came on our thermostat said the house was 33°. Im never letting my family suffer through that again. I just hope that choosing this one privides enough power to do the job.
@@SnowCamo45Great question, i wish he had answered. If I end up needing mine im going to keep track of that very thing and ill come back and report it
About 30 gallons..
Is this a 4- Cycle or 2 ?
4 cycle
@@weathdl7155 Thank You !! For replying back sir. I have the same one as yours. Also, When should I change the oil ?
Thank you…. Much needed answer
It's loud 😩😓
Can you show how to run the house with it next. Like what connects where …and breakers off or on or whatever we need to do there.. ?
That's a good idea. I might do that.
That’s what I’m looking for!
It's junk.used one time 2.3 hours run time and won't start
I bought a GP5500, It failed in less than 10 hours. Customer service did nothing despite it being a 100 percent design flaw. Seal failure allowed light rain to leak into the gas tank. rusted out. Cost $400 to replace. They don't care about their customers.
Hmmm...what about the parts of the user manual that says don't use a garden hose to clean and to store it in a dry place? They tell you not to let it get wet...🤷♂️
you look like Freddy Kruger
😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's his brother, Teddy Kruger.
Ya didn't take the plastic off the air filter before starting 😃
Great stuff finally great video on this. Thanks 4 sharing.
I have the same exact generator - I left the "on" switch on. Do you know where the battery is? how to recharge or replace?
I don't have a battery on mine, it's pull start only. You must have a different model. Perhaps you could pull start yours and let it run a while to recharge the battery, if you don't have a charger.
Can't hear!!
Same happend to me today. Have 1000 hrs on my machine
This exact thing just happened to me. Thank you for the info!
Sounds loud as heck
Indeed it is
You're audio is low re do video smh
GRACIAS AMIGO.
I have the same exact engine on an XMark and it just blew the seal - 690 hours. Manufactured in 2003. No good reason but it appears that this problem is not a one-off problem. RUclips is an amazing resource! Thanks for posting!
Buy a muffler adapter and cheap muffler and attach it to your Generator. So much quieter……
Dude - that's an opportunity to do a video about that upgrade and share it with us 👍
Would you be willing to let me know what oil filter goes on this engine. Thanks

Can you find maintenance parts for this unit? My model # is G0076721
Was it able to power your whole house ?
No, it does not power the whole house. I only have 8 circuits in the switch panel that the generator powers. 2 stand up fridges, 1 small chest freezer, a Rinnai tankless waterheater (gas), kitchen outlets, 1 bathroom and several outlets and lights throughout the house. It powers all of that fine.
Does this one have a carbon monoxide sensor?
No it does not
