Thanks so much! That was very helpful!
this is exactly what I came to youtube to learn. Great sharing, very precise. Thank you
Whats the window for pollination? My female flower hadnt even opened before falling off. I went out early 2 days in a row to check but i dont think it had been long. 😢
Is it okay to remove the leaves once they start dying back?
Is it okay to remove the leaves once they start dying back?
My wife has a garden & we think it’s a delicata that’s at least twice that size… how big do they get?
What about adult thrips?
What's crazy is that there's bees swarming all over my flowers but I guess my squash just doesn't produce viable female flowers? 😢
I feel like maybe the heat has something to do with it as well. IDK I'm not giving up on them because they are beautiful plants. Just love how they look in my garden even without a pumpkin. 🥲
Liked. Subbed, nice concise information
i have leave la and blooms
Thank you 😊
Hey I pollinated my pumpkin flower 2 days ago and now the wind blew the flower off would the fruit still grow even thow I pollinated?
Wow, what a useless video!
what are the bags you used to keep the hoverflies eating the aphids?
They are called organza bags, I use them to isolate flower sites to reduce cross pollination, but in this case it allowed aphids to feed risk free until a hover fly found it's way in and took them out 🤘
what's the song? 👀

Great video, very informative! And beautiful garden and pollinators flowers!
I'm glad the info can be of some use! 🙏😁
Thanks

Exactly. At last a peep who understands curcubita sex😅
Not sure what version of Delicata you have, but my Cornell Bush Delicata is green young transitioning into beige with dark green stripes at harvest similar to what you show as "ripe" in this video. There is zero yellowing from pollination to maturity. After harvest, it yellows significantly in storage. In a sense, it's the opposite of what you're showing for coloration.
Ahh this one slipped by me. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I was unaware. I'll have to go through my old seed packs to see what variety this is. I appreciate the comment 🤘
Best video on this. Just exactly what I needed to know. Thank you.
I'm glad this info was able to help you! :)
Perfect--thanks!!!
🤘😁
There are different types of delicata squash. which is the one in your video?
Oh geez I have no idea. Bought the seed years ago. Don't remember the package saying anything other than Delicata or who I got em from 😅
Growing these this year. So excited! Thanks!
They are such great squash!! :)
Why are my Delicada squash is about 12 inches long and 8 inches around at least?
I'm sorry but I'm not sure I understand your question 😅
When available in California?
I would contact Evergreen grower supply and ask. I haven't heard of restrictions to California but I would believe it. There may be some local bug suppliers in your state that may have them?
@@EdibleGardenGrowers awaiting interstate permits. Doubt they want to give up pesticides that make money. Just like w fallacis.
Thanks dawg. Subscribed.
Much appreciated friend 🙏
Any downside to these? I have such a huge aphid problem when I grow indoors.
I can't imagine any downsides in an indoor setting. They may not stick around after taking out the aphids and may not take out 100%, so they may come back in a few weeks after the crazee mites have left. This is true with many different beneficial insects though. The first round won't always take out 100% but I'm new to these guys specifically so they might be more thorough
@@EdibleGardenGrowers They are expensive as hell, but amazing. Ive used many benifiicials and I have never seen better results.
Me too!
Green house looks great 👍
Great video, I hope I’m growing my best garlic this season. 🤞🏼👍🏻
Thanks! I hope they treat you well! 🤠🤠

@@dracoargus915 lol, the thing at the end is a homemade nutrient mixing tank
This is what is happening to some of my pumpkins. Just when I think a few are growing they are small and turn yellow and drop off.. Going by your advice it’s due to lack of pollination! I will be keeping an eye out for new pumpkins and get that male flower to give extra pollination 🤙 P.S. I do have a few successful pumpkins growing which are nearly ready to pick.
Ya sounds like a pollination issue to me, so hopefully your plant puts out some male flowers so you can hand pollinate:) woot for pumpkins!!
wow, you have a lot of garlic in your garden.. good job 👍
Thanks friend! Some where between 450 and 500 total :)
Great video!! ❤
Thanks fren 🙏🙏
Thank you that’s what happens to me last summer hardly any gourds. I dry my gourds and carve them
It was definitely my worst year for summer/winter squash :( this method definitely helped out! :)
I've heard that happens when the garlic doesn't get enough chill hours to develop properly or is harvested too early. Bummer about the damage.
Interesting to hear! it was only one of about 500, so was just an odd one off 😅
£1.25 for a pack at Wilko now too. And onions and shallots.
dang what a deal!
Hi 👋👋
Hello friend 😁
Every summer my avocado trees get aphids by the millions. really satisfying spraying them all off.
I'd imagine so 😅 have you tried releasing/attracting beneficial insects to try and keep them at bay? Green Lacewing larvae, parasitic wasps, assassin bugs, and hover flies all work wonders on them :)
Nice video alot of garlic❤
Thanks! :) Yeah I may have gone a bit overboard 😅 plan to roast and/or dehydrate a bunch here soon
Hola
Hello friend! :)
Great video! love seeing what you've been growing!
Yay thanks for checking it out friend!! 🥰🥰🥰
How are they looking now? Any more fruiting? My peppers I brought into the greenhouse about 4 weeks ago and they're all still fruiting! I'm running an evaporative cooler and kept vpd up. In south Molalla
I've got a few more sticking around than I was before, lots of flowers, but still getting some flower drop. It's just with these Reapers. Everything else is still taken off despite the temperature drop. Man I haven't heard the term vapor pressure deficit used outside of the cannabis growing community. Stoked to hear other people on that game in the pepper growing community
@@EdibleGardenGrowers ah that is good that it was not a garden-wide pepper issue. I had 2x chocolate fatalii peppers that were outside of our greenhouse that didn't bear any fruit. The 2x in the greenhouse are still blooming right now even w the cooler temps. I wonder if there was a temperature or humidity trigger that didn't happen w the outdoor ones.
@@user-hs7qn3bo1y dang youtube not informing me of comments 😅yeah wasnt garden wide, just the reapers. ended up with a bunch more small ones the last two weeks but too cold to ripen. finally pulled the last from my poly tunnels yesterday.
@@EdibleGardenGrowers nice! I pulled most of mine this past week and sent seeds to friends of the interesting verigated purple ones we had show up. If you're in the PDX area and want to ever trade some pepper seeds let me know! I have not found many pepper heads here in Molalla. Found ya on IG and followed under beangineers
@@user-hs7qn3bo1y Definitely a late ending to the season which I was thankful for. oh nice, i love variegated peppers :) Yeah im in outer southeast portland near Gresham. always down for a trade! I run a small pepper nursery out of my bigger greenhouse in the spring :) pdxpeppers.com

You're right.... Should have been wearing the shirt....
At my spa we have a product called “Bamboo firming fluid” (from eminence organic) and one of the main ingredients is Chicory root as a natural Retinol alternative. Super good at calming inflammation and producing collagen for the skin! You have so much chicory maybe look into harvesting some roots for skincare!? Perhaps they are different plants but I’m pretty sure it’s the same??
Ooooh very interesting! We grew it last year for chicory root coffee and haven't been inspired to harvest it yet this year 😅 thanks for the info!!
Very nice video 👍
