      @@hurricane_valence the best advice is to bring it up. If you want your therapist's assistance in breaking this habit, phrase it like that. There are several strategies available that can help you to break the association between auto asphyxiation and arousal. I hope that you will broach the subject at your next appointment. Good luck!

    Also, does the prefrontal cortex mature in our early 20's (as the slide says) or the early 30's (11:31)? I think it's the former, but maybe it starts maturing in early 20's and finishes in the early 30's? I'm sorry for the confusion!

    I listened to your podcast halfway through and I couldn't get myself to continue listening because of so much misinformation you are projecting. First of all if you consider yourself a " teacher " of male sexual anatomy you really need to know your facts. My impression is that you don't !! When a male baby is born his tiny penis is cocooned in a layer of skin called THE FORESKIN . It is FUSED to the shaft of the penis........why ??? FOR PROTECTION !! All male mammals human and animals alike are born with foreskins or sheaths........why ????.......FOR PROTECTION !!! The male penis like the vagina are INTERNAL organs........why??......FOR PROTECTION !! Circumcision performed on that infant hours or days after birth interferes with the sexual development of that child because it MUTILATES and disfigures his sexual development for the rest of is life. The foreskin because it's FUSED to the shaft of the penis has to be ripped away in order for the foreskin to be loosened and cut off. This would be similar to ripping your fingernails away from your fingers. YOu made no comment of this at all. Circumcision has now created a sexual cripple in this individual for the rest of his life !!! On an Intact child the foreskin starts to separate naturally when the child reaches puberty, usually with the start of early erections. If you want to learn about THE FUNCTION AND PURPOSE OF THE FORESKIN don't go to the medical community..........THEY DON'T TEACH IT IN MEDICAL SCHOOL, Hence the ignorance of doctors and medical people on the subject. Circumcision destroys over 20,000 nerve endings in the foreskin and eliminates most of the frenulum, the most sensitive part of his penis. Now the real problems start. As this individual ages and starts his sexual life he has what I call, " FRICTION SEX ". Unbeknown to himself and because of ignorance he thinks he is normal. As he continues to age intercourse becomes more challenging. Because his penile gland has become exposed over the years, the gland becomes keritinized (drys out), looses sensitivity and becomes numb. Erections become painful because of the lack of foreskin, friction increases and orgasms take longer, ,creating problems during intercourse with his partner eventually leading to erectile dysfunction !! An Intact male (Uncircumcised ) on the other hand uses a " gliding action " pleasurable to himself as well as his partner, the way NATURE MEANT IT TO BE.....NO FRICTION....!!!!!! Most of the world does NOT CIRCUMCISE. We do it here in America because of cosmetic reasons, mostly proposed by young women, (they think foreskins are disgusting ) and will not have sex with uncircumcised men. And the medical community does it for dubius "health reasons ". CIRCUMCISION IS BRUTAL, BARBARIC AND DEMONIC because it attacks the most vulnerable members of our society, our newborn babies.......Don't believe me ????? Watch the circumcision video and be convinced !!

    • @JillSeiver
      @JillSeiver Год назад

      @@bellemacalino7177 Believe it or not, it's not precisely spelled out. Generally, we determine the average score for the sample that is tested (so in a class demonstration, we'd compute the average), and then people above the average are considered "high" on the trait, and people below the average are considered "low" on the trait. The most important thing for you taking the test is to see which trait(s) are your highest score(s), which will indicate which trait(s) are predominant for you.

Seiver and ty fer what ya do... and make sure if still teaching that you give some of the strange students a break based on their effort based on their capacity while suggesting a better field of work for them. Intelligence v wisdom... can't have one without the other, but as a wise Engl major once taught me... "intelligence has no survival value."

    • @vmiximv
      @vmiximv Год назад

      the adopted children part is based on the fact those were the less loved/cared for ones. @17:17 It's all about environment and care given at various stages. I bet if there were a measurement for adopted children whose adopters were specific ages and financial standing... that graph would skyrocket in the other direction. then you would need ta also show skin color and family jobs. The more diversity in the job list, the better the scores should be for the adopted kids. That graph actually makes no sense when considering those obvious factors... hope the source isn't community college pearson books...lol that harvard based company is trash trying ta keep people uneducated and biased. Like... why are there more typos in books/online books now than there were in the 70's commuity college text books? kinda sad, but interesting.

    • @JillSeiver
      @JillSeiver Год назад

      @@vmiximv Certainly an impoverished environment has been shown to negatively affect intelligence. However, boosting an environment above the basics -- sufficient food, stimulation of intellect, interaction with others, and so on -- has not been shown to commensurately boost intelligence. Since most adoptive families are screened to ensure that they have the basics needed to raise a child, the adoptive households are basically homogenous on that factor.
