no restaurants and bars beachside in Aptos, those closed down 30 years ago. It was a matter of time say every 100 years or so. we've had a beach house so to speak up the street for 50 years. its to bad but what do you expect.

This has happened so many time before. Why would an idiot buy land in this particular area? This is a every 5 year occurrence!

So sad.. I used to walk that beach every day when I lived in Aptos.

I really feel for the people who lost their stores ,restaurants and Bars .

And naturally the state and county want to put down more houses and charge a fortune for them!

It’s a flood plain. People should never have been allowed to build there. It floods every wet year.
