FUNCTION: it just delays the whole barrel recoil a little bit and quickly reloads a second round that is fired before the barrel recoil of the first shot is finished. RESULT: This means that there are two shots fired almost exactly in the same direction because the recoil didnt move the gun off target yet. I hope this made some sense. If you think about it for a little while you will understand, its not very complicated i guess. Unless theres something else you dont understand, then i also dont know :D

вопрос в цене прозводства, скорости производства, сложности механизма требующего переобучения и более сложного ремонта, скорее всего невозможного на поле боя. И что главное, почти нет схожих с обычным калашом деталей, что требует полной переделки производственных мощностей. Точная стрельба двумя выстрелами, такое себе преимущество при штурме. Это просто отличный автомат, который того не стоит. Он больше подходит спец. подразделениям. А для армии есть более перспективные образцы.

На самом деле нет. Те же задачи ставились перед инженерами H&K, только еще и под безгильзовый патрон. Так мы получили G11. Это была идея фикс тех лет - стрелять с отсечкой с огромной скоростью. Да и потом, у нас сделали АЕК, который проще и до сих пор на службе

Ан- 94 тяжёлый, очень сложный в разборке по сравнению с ак 74, есть проблема с экстракцией гильзы при скоростных выстрелах по 2 патрона. С учётом малого вклада стрелкового оружия в поражение противника смысла в ан 94 немного. Хотя у него есть свои почитатели.

В условиях апокалипсиса, для стрелкового оружия основными свойствами должны быть низкая цена, простота производства и обслуживания. В этом АН 94 тоже уступает. Лично мне АН 94 очень симпатичен, хотя я из него не стрелял. Мне более перспективным видится ВСС с удлинённым стволом под патрон 6,5 Grendel

That is the common bit of internet knowledge. The real story is longer, and reads a bit different. The roller-delayed blowback system was first designed by a group of engineers at Mauser, including Ludwig Vorgrimler. The "Gerät 06H" or "StG 45" was in prototype state at the end of the war. After the war, Vorgrimler and other Mauser engineers worked for the French and developed the CEAM Modèle 1950 (which, aside from being chambered for 7.92 x 33 mm kurz, already bears a stunning similarity with both the later CETME and H&K designs). Vorgrimler left CEAM and went to Spain, starting to work at newly-founded CETME. Vorgrimler's Modelo 2 won over the gas-powered Modelo 1, but was chambered for 7.92 × 40 mm CETME, which didn't make it many friends. Sources are a bit fuzzy about the path from there over the Modelo A to the Modelo B, but the latter was definitely chambered for 7.62 x 51 mm NATO. The Dutch company Wapens & Munitiefabrik de Kruithoorn BV held license rights on that design, and was bought by H&K. H&K further improved the bolt design and released the G3, with the improvements flowing back into the CETME C.

@@AlASokolov I think technically this is a hammer operated mechanism. In a striker fired mechanism, a spring tensions the striker, which is then allowed to directly impact the primer. Hammer mechanisms have a hammer held under spring tension, which is released by a sear, which subsequently impacts the firing pin, which hits the primer. The confusion here stems from the fact that there's still a traveling hammer, but not a 'traditional' rotating type hammer. Instead the hammer here operates in a linear fashion. Perhaps it is more of a question on how you would define either type.
