This is my first attempt at time lapse filming of my painting process. In this video I am painting Gathering Roses from a photograph I took in the Point Defiance Botanical Garden. I rearranged the blossoms a bit in Photoshop to create a good composition for a square. It's all about the translucence of the petals and the reflected light and color in the shadows.

I was named the 2019 National Parks Arts Foundation Artist in Residence for Fort Union National Park in New Mexico for the month of October, where I painted the landscape and Fort ruins.
