I had a random flashback of this game but I couldn't remember what it was so it took me like an hour of searching to find it lmao

The only reason I never bought TIP is because I had a family of very low income and all we had was halo 3 and viva piñata the original for YEARS 😊

Being third in the line of best games ever, tak is the best fucking game every made. a lot of the points you made in this though can be refuted pretty easily. the camera thing can be moved with the right analog stick (if I remember correctly), and the map thing?... well, enjoy the scenery.

I think a big misstep was marketing it so aggressively to kids, when the gameplay was actually deep enough to engage more mature RTS gamers. Definitely an overlooked gem, I spent countless hours customizing my garden and -- lacking any kind of real guide at the time -- was continually surprised by how many new creatures could be collected and how diverse the garden could become.

I love seeing how many people loved this game in its prime and still love it as adults/older adults. I recently found my DSI from when I was 9 and got Pocket Paradise from a local game store. If anyone wants to be friends and trade piñatas let me know!

I love this game. It was so ahead if it's time. It could have become Rare's Pokémon if they had just played their cards right. Many people I talk to didn't even know there was a TV show. There also seems to be a strange Mandela effect of people remembering this game on the Wii or GameCube, probably due to it's very colorful and stylized graphics. I also partly blame people not buying this game on the box art of the first game for being kinda creepy and unappealing with the character expressions and the the box art of the second game being a knockoff of Animal Crossing: Wild World. Thankfully the Rare Twitter does acknowledge Viva Piñata occasionally by Tweeting art of the game, but at this point I think we are more likely to get Banjo-Threeie before getting a Viva Piñata 3 since there is higher demand for the former.

I played this so much when i was a kid. Get back on it for the nostalgia every couple of years. I remember skipping a day of school because "i need to work on my garden." Truly an underrated game people think im insane when i put this in my top ten.
