I have old linoleum or vinyl flooring on mine. I have an 1/8" dip on a couple areas. Can I use self level or thin set on this? Will it adhere to the old vinyl?

Good video. It seems like you must be using some support at the front of the lid to keep the lid square and level when it is closed. It looks like there a small gap between the lid and the box although it is hard to tell from the video. I guess the only way to have a completely flush fitting lid would be to route a mortise for the hinge. Alternatively, you could attach this hinge from the outside. The lid would then close flush to the box. But of course the hinge would not be concealed in that instance.

Miss my old 72 c10, swapped straight 6 for a 350 out of a old nova, and the 3 on the tree out for a 2 speed power glide. I only got it because my birth yr, then it turned out that i really liked the truck, it was an old timers truck that i got it from, had the studded ice tires that loved to spark when i took off for some reason 😂 . I moved to the beach and ended up selling it to a young guy that was interested in restoring it, something that id never afford to do, so i had to let it live on.

Do you just jack the cab up and unbolt it from the mounts? Thinking about going ahead and doing the cab mounts while I have the bed off of mine, not that they’re bad but for if it’s gonna be a fight to replace down the road

Is it hard to do I need to do mine

I have a dofferent transmission in my 69 C10. But i cant figure out how to take off the transmission so i can pull the motor out .. ive taken off 3 of the bell housing bolts. But for the life of me i cant see how i can even reach the bolts on the left of the housing... ( Driver side). I dont have a lift or anythig. Its just on jacj stands so i can fit underneath... Do people reach underneath? Or do they drop the truck again off the stands and reach over it. I dont see how its possible for me to reach the ither 3 or 4 bolts...

first to second bolt the twists are clockwise, from the second bolt onward the twists are counter clockwise. In this case the tail is supposed to be twisted in the opposite direction, since your pliers don't reverse you need to twist the tail manually, this prevents the wire from coming up over the bolt head.
