Using sounds to facilitate a meditative state - relaxed, focused, quiet mind.
I have been practicing and studying various meditation methods for around 35 years now, I have been playing musical instruments the same amount of time. My music degree is on flute. I am a 200hr certified yoga instructor, ran groups at addiction treatment centers in Los Angeles from 2018-2020.
I am passionate about trauma-informed practice, with trainings in education settings, social work settings, and yoga teacher training.
For me, Sound meditation is slightly different than performing music where the focus is on pouring emotion into every note. Presenting Sound Meditation I am doing more containing of my own emotions, staying grounded, and aware of participants.
