Mark Childers Carrie's lead guitarist and band director was surprised how fast Carrie picked up things musical. Carrie knew zero about performing in concerts she basically let her power make up for what she lacked in experience. Mark had to tell Carrie when to come out. Once Carrie was on stage performing she was just fine. And now Carrie knows what she wants.

If you remember Carrie is the one who was the first one to open that theater up. It was first scheduled to be Celine Dion, but her medical problems got in the way and politely postponed, which allowed Carrie to open it.

I think Mark and Ed were actually shocked at how good Carrie is. You could tell that Ed had no idea of good Carrie was when she first doing concerts. He didn't listen to Carrie when she was on Idol. Arista formed the band while Carrie was finishing up Idol and they pretty much figured she was going to win.

Carrie rarely turns around and looks at her band. Simple reason, Carrie trusts her band members and band members trust her. Technical errors not withstanding.

To me, Carrie doesn't need all the extra trappings, like dancers. But I understand why Carrie does it. Carrie adapts to her location. That is why Resorts World booked Carrie there. Carrie was the one who opened that theater. Celine Dion was supposed to open but her medical problems caused her to cancel, thus Carrie got to open it.

As Mark Chiders Carrie's band director and lead guitarist said he got know Carrie, professionally before the two became good friends. Mark mentored Carrie on the musical side on how to do concerts. When Carrie was on Idol, she knew nothing about music business at all. Carrie was like an infant. Idol teaches you nothing about concerts and doing a record. If you win Idol, you win a recording contract. Luckily for Carrie, Arista handed Carrie to Mark Bright and Gary Huff who do record contracts for a living.

Carrie found out recently that her two original band members, her band director and lead guitarist and her other guitarist to her far left were protectors, meaning nobody was going to be nastiest to Carrie, back when Carrie started performing in concerts and still do to this day. Carrie finally found that on Howard Stern show. And you could tell her surprise when Mark, her band director said it to Howard.

She's awesome. Her voice is very versatile.

I can't play guitar at all , carrie can, critics can be quiet about it, i love guitar, i also cannot follow music, i can sing , by heart all natural, but i would give anything to be able to play guitar.

Carrie was asked if she thinks her father would ever attend any of her shows there in Vegas. She said extremely doubtful. Main reason is he would get surrounded by media people, which hates with a passion. He attend her first concert in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Carrie politely asked the media to leave him alone, they didn't. Her father hasn't attended since. Yes, he attended Opry when Carrie became a member there. But Opry help make sure media didn't get near him.

I like that. Carrie's two older sister were picking on Carrie for having this type of vocals. And it changed when Carrie entered American Idol, not only did Carrie shocked the nation but I think her sisters as well. It went from annoying to sisters like wow. Little sister is actually very good. Once, Carrie got to a certain point in the competition her sisters start to realize Carrie was going to win. Carrie's mom Carole started to realize, Carrie is going to win it.

Carrie Underwood and George Strait both play guitar at about the same level..."prop" level for the most part.
