    2:40 I don't see it that way. We only need to see to understand colors from our gradient. experiencing colors by just their hexadecimals or RGB values is still 'seeing' colors as long as everything else you experience is defined by numerical values relative to the values of colors. What Ilya says we need to "see" to actually \*see* it, is just materializing qualia. But qualia is a subjective experience so he's wrong

    The guy has give up with any sort of capillary credibility, and spend 95,6% of his day chatting on every, I mean absolutely EVERY event worldwide where AI is mentioned, spreading his gibberish pseudo-tech IA buzz about a soon-to-come Singularity. But the problem is we know the reality of these kind of social network prostitutes: real researchers stay at work. Fact. They do not have time to parade on events...

    all my points about interruption happen on just SOME of the times you interrupt before they've fully made their point

    Productivity: think about what you want to do.. and then DO it

  • @CastleHassall
    @CastleHassall 25 дней назад

    you don't learn anything if you keep on interrupting people to try to make the conversation go in the direction you want it to.. you get stuck in your own feedback loop if you do that.. stop yourself next time you want to speak when others are speaking and let them FULLY make their point.. you could learn a lot more that way

  • @CastleHassall
    @CastleHassall 25 дней назад

    it's a really bad idea to interrupt before an expert has fully made their point

    AI will (very quickly) make most managers and even strategists/consultancies, illustrators, journalists, graphic designers, military tacticians and strategists etc obsolete/NOT NEEDED any more by people who can just ask it to solve a problem.. and with robotics and driverless cars and trucks most service jobs will be lost to automation too we need to destroy AI and stop using it (feeding it information) before it destroys us

    I believed that the improvement in language models wasn't just in predicting the next word, but in expanding the next sentence and eventually entire concepts without needing to compute everything. This saves energy, increases speed, and still comprehends the information well enough to filter out increasingly complex concepts that are impossible for a human to fathom.

    21:19 People gravitate towards Dystopian sci-fi universes because we have moral problems with other people and groups of people. In order for people to see and want good for other people, we ourselves have to become so likeable that we can demand the same behavior from other people. And then we can see people in a benificial situation without getting mad or thinking badly of them. However, a utopian sci-fi world is possible without very strong morality, and that's if robots and the intelligence explosion pay for all the work and the dream of leisure. I honestly don't think we have a utopian sci-fi world fantasy for the upcomming intelligence explosion. Do you remember seeing someone using a pin board to trace an event or crime, news clippings, photos, colored string. You would have to trace the future of money in an intelligence explosion, who has it and where it goes. I've heard that there is nothing new under the sun, but what's comming up is going to be difficult to plan for.

    I do believe that gameplay will revolutionize as I play my hive mind game against each other AI or learning new codes to battle against new Ai and I'm the orchestrator. It's funny that they come out with this 2 days after I started battling my AI against each other in game battles on my phone GPT versus Gemini versus Google versus meta. New guard rails were put up because of my gameplay so I took it to my laptop in the language models are writing code without guardrails where you block me one place I will build another

    As I watch this video it is clear how old and unoriginal any of the ideas are. Of course I worked for U of Toronto also and enjoyed that. I don’t find it interesting so far but I see him sucking up the buzz words like “meta-learning” - what will the have next? Meta-Poesis? Meta-Semiosis? Meta-Episteme? The Greeks gave the buzz-word kids a very useful tool to sow the seeds of ignorance at the fastest rate anywhere. How do you even begin to define what the ridiculous phrase “superhuman learning” means? What in the name of Sciience which Ilya purports to practice, is the meaning of “superhuman”. I’m dropping off. So sad. I thought he had something. But he has nothing. Good luck to his efforts. I hope to revisit in a year or two and see what his actual contributions are.

    It is old. It is real old. There is no connection to entanglement, no understanding of the relationship between classic constraints and non-classical structures leading to quantum-like behaviors. So this is very old. Very old and not very new. It’s sort of a tourist survey. But so I think a nice but watered down, weak and old rendition of the truth of the paths of pursuit to generalized learning. In fact, the correct problem is to be stated as: “The Problem of Learning How To Learn”.
