No. The most common problem on a new unit is defrost timer. On common newer units it is a slotted piece (size of a nickel) of plastic. Plug unit in and turn slotted piece counterclockwise until you hear it power up. Keep door closed until the following morning.

If there is a clicking noise when you reset it, after first unplugging it, then you didn't unplug it. This video is absolutely useless.

The "door ajar" beeper on my Kenmore upright freezer kept going off, even though the door was closed. To make a long story short, I ended up replacing both the door switch and the control board. The beeping stopped for a few days, but it started again today. Could there be a problem with the wiring between the switch and the control board? Also, the light stays on even when the door switch is depressed. Do you have any ideas about how to fix it? Thank you.

If your unplugged ice maker is making clicking noises you have other issues to worry about such as ghosts or pests. And maybe edit the video describing the reset button. Maybe edit the video describing the u-shaped piece of wire or reset button.

If you still have a problem finding the reset button - the next best thing to do is: Unplug & replug your refrigerator cable and that should resolve the issue. This technique work out for me to eliminate the annoying "Beeping Noise."
