In Rugby the refs have microphones and they explain every decision. They are strict but fair and the players have huge respect for them. In football they are an untouchable power over the game and do not have to explain even the most outrageously wrong decisions. VAR are supposed to be there to correct errors but all they seem to do is pick and chose what they want or don't want to change. The only consistent thing about VAR is how blatantly selective it is. In the EFL football is a sport but in the EPL is seems to be controlled and manipulated.

If it's Salah or Saka getting bundled over like Chaplin the ref points straight to the spot or VAR steps in but we have a a two tier system who favours the top teams over sides like us. Thanks Kally, excellent as always.Enjoyed the game & considering the injuries we did better than expected with the players that came in.ive been saying szmodics should be starting for weeks.Hirst & chaps were brilliant.Not sure if it was a game changer but when Ogbene came off injured our game fell apart, Burns on the right is not the answer,I'm not blaming him for the goals because Brentford are great going forward but they leak goals like us,so that made it a goal fest spectacular. Completely agree about Clarkes second yellow, he got the ball not the player,ref was their 12th man,but credit to Brentford, they are a good team.
