Yes, you can connect your Forma project to Revit and either send as masses or convert to building elements and send to Revit (see separate video on this topic or check out the help center for guides!)

As the extension matures so does the capabilities! We're constantly evolving the connected workflow between Revit and Forma.

@@damroman88 I did not get it to work when I tried...idk if it was my file or if the video was edited to make it seem like it works with links. I had to bind it like I have seen done in other videos, but Revit fails to bind, so you have to select all you want, make that into a group, and then save that group out to a new file. Afterwards I can bind this newly created Revit file without errors. I hope I am wrong and you can indeed use links,and maybe it only works with local links, all my work is on ACC/ cloud work sharing.

@@JavierOropeza08 I ran into the same issue, maybe you are right and the video was edited to make it seem like it works with revit links. I was able to bind my revit link without any issues. Thank you

Hi, yes the layer naming system had a minor overhaul in an addon update recently, you should be able to find same or better functionality, though it may look slightly different from how it looks inthis 'How to' video!

If you've tried reinstalling the rhino add-in and making sure you are logged in, and it still does not work, please reach out to the support team either directly from the help menu in Forma or on the Autodesk forums so we can help you out!

currently the best workflow for this would be to start by establishing a Forma project at the correct location, send this empty project to Revit, then insert your revit file into the new Forma-connected Revit project, and update this project back into Forma. Hope that helps! There should be documentation on this in our help center!

Hey! the feature is available both for Revit 2023, 2024 and 2025. Have you checked that you have the addin installed from the Autodesk App Store? Forma's 3D Sketch sub-mode is built on the FormIt modeling engine, enabling more freeform modeling while supporting building functions and area metrics. We're actively working on an even deeper integration of FormIt technology in Forma, the latest example being a new ability to edit Constraints in 3D directly from the main Forma design mode. And we're actively listening to your input over on the Autodesk forums

Hey, the unit types were design in the Floor Plan design mode (select building, and you'll see the option to edit Floor Plans at 3:49 ) sorry for going a little fast in this part of the demo! Once you've added units and given them functions, they get taken into account in your units and area metrics calculations.
