Basically from "The Star of Africa". Dysentary and shorts full of blood while flying is totally true. One battle with a Spitfire was really hard.

My Dad saw one whip by him in Italy. Told me the story then bought me a model of one. I've been a 109 nut ever sinse

It is believe or not. I II./JG27Rich was flying with a bunch of guys although very nice that's all they wanted to do. By that I mean chat all night while asking "Where are you so I can shoot you down"? Thus "But we must have fun we must"! I wanted to be in a squad and fly real missions
