Henry, greetings. A very thoughtful piece. I'm one county over from Alexandria, using mainly 4x5, only B&W film, only wet darkroom producing gelatin-silver prints, no digital involved. The rebound of film photography over nearly the last 10 years, along with other so-called analog technologies, is more than a fad, though that is the largest component statistically. A growing number are thinking along the same lines: instant gratification and automatic everything are not so gratifying after all. We need something in our lives with enduring meaning. That is something that I hear throughout the arts community as well. Many artists are asking, "What has happened to my art form?" I am of a different generation, with a different perspective on how we got here and where we need to go. In any case, we urgently need a dialogue among serious artists and individuals of all interests and professions. I appreciate your contribution to that potential.

On Mar. 13, 1976, i aarver at Lackland A.F.B. for Basic Tranning flt 445, when two weeks later i failed my second major inspection i was put back into flt 447, luckly because i was able to score a high grad on the academic portion and finished the 8 weeks on May day in San Antonio, Tex. with a fiesta.

I arrived at Lackland AFB , March 1975 as a young Chilean Air Force 2lt . Stayed there for three months ( English Language School ). Beautiful Memories ! Then went to Webb AFB , Big Spring , TX.
